2003 Bombardier 650 Quest Speedo Not Working
Whiterabbit replied to spuukii's topic in Can-Am BRP ATV Forum
It's on top of the engine case, in front of the cylinder, just left of center on the case, mine has a gray wire sheath on the wiring. You usually have to replace them, cleaning them usually doesn'twork. -
Depends on the location you ride. Muddy, soupy, muck and snow.... tires with more of a paddle design. Dry, hard dirt, rocky and ice...... more towards knobby design. Mfg? whoever is on sale.

Toughest Most Reliable Quad ever Produced
Whiterabbit replied to Gwbarm's topic in General ATV Discussion
Hondas are hard to kill. Polaris is good but the parts are pricey. I looked at a dozen used quads this yr, ya' know what was the #1 killer of them? The owner's lack of proper maintenance/ jerry rigged repairs and their kids beating the s**t outt'a them. -
Hey all, from SW Virginia here. I just picked up a '01 Bombardier Quest 650 on the cheap (seller couldn't get it to start). After correctly plumbing the fuel pump (new pump the prior owner installed but had the hoses going backwards lol) and cleaning the carb and fuel tank, repaired all the batt - and batt+ connections she lives!! I had swore to the wife unit I wouldn't be dragging another "project" home but I couldn't pass it up, it had new tires, new starter, new fuel pump and low hrs. All's good after she took it for a ride! ๐ It rides like a tank, very stable and tons of power.

New to me Quest 650 with the Rotax engine, auto trans. Looking at the starter solenoid there are the usual wires, Batt+ in and Batt+ out to starter and the 2 lil wires to the ign start button but there is a factory box with 2 lil wires coming out mounted to the frame next to it, one wire is connected to one of the large Batt terminals (12 o-clock position in pic). The other wire from the box is just dangling out in space. I can't find where that loose wire goes and what the **** the lil' box is. ๐ Need some insight please.

Sounds like a lean condition. Look for an air leak at the manifold or manifold/carb area with some carb spray first before tearing into your carb. Unless you know what you are doing with carbs I doubt you will spray some cleaner at it, throw on some new o-rings n gasket and fix the carb. You have to thoroughly clean the air mix, the pilot jet, the main jet, the emulsion tube, the off idle passages and a few more to get a carb up to snuff. It's doable but ya' need to know what you are doing.

3500lb, synthetic rope lead and everything needed to install for........................................ $89 bucks! I'm installing one on my '01 Bombardier Quest and it looks like a legit buy. If you have a RK nearby & you need a winch you might want to swing by before they disappear.
