  1. That's good to know! I figure more experience will make me less anxious. I want to pick up a digital tire inflator for my compressor, and I think that would also give me more peace of mind.
  2. Yeah just had to do this a few weeks ago… bought the Harbor Freight tire changer (but didn’t know about the additional attachment at the time), and removing the old tire was a big ordeal… then installing the new tires wasn’t so bad, but it took me forever to seat the bead. 1st problem was getting the bead to get close enough to the step so air could stay. It took some fidgeting with the ratchet strap to get it going. 2nd problem was getting the bead to seat…. I was just too fearful of overpressuring it but I had to hit like 35-40 psi before it made the loud “pop”; staying around 25 psi did nothing. But after having done it, I did have the same sentiment of “hey, at least I know how to do it, but I don’t want to do it again anytime soon!!”
  3. Was your vehicle for your business trip the ATV plow? 😆 Like Bobby Boucher style?
  4. Depending how old or stuck screws can get, I’d recommend an Impact Driver which uses a hammer. https://a.co/d/fmrS8Y3 A pick/hook set is good for getting o-rings out of carbs. And just make sure you have some different sockets/adapters/extensions to deal with the space constraints. Also, have some grease available and some notable ones after your multipurpose/moly are the dielectric and o-ring kinds. And as others mentioned, once you get to a specific task which requires special tools you’ll get them as required.
  5. Yeah CDI seems to be a likely culprit. Similar happened to me with a 1985 TRX250. Got a new CDI from Amazon which I think was for an ATC (had to read a few reviews to see if would work on mine), and I was finally able to get spark.
  6. Could you take out the front fender and remove wire harnesses from their normal routing to see if you can still touch/turn without the engine getting killed?
  7. Does anyone know if they're interchangeable? I have a 2002 TRX20TE and 2007 TRX250TE, so getting to a set of common engine parts would be ideal.
  8. Hi everybody! Just wanted to introduce myself coming from NBTX. Got some used Honda TRX250's this year and have been hooked on more fixing them up than actual riding right now. Probably could use some help from the folks here on getting 2 of them in proper running order, but I'm sure I'll have to post that elsewhere! But anyways, glad to be here and looking forward to chopping it up with y'all!
