  1. still one of the best looking jersey out here no one else has anything close. But tomorrow I don't get to wear it cause we have to sew on participation patches on them for the race :realmad: I like it the way it is:aargh:

  2. I know I need to, I am waiting for them to put up the pics of us riding. I've gotten tons of comments on it. Plus I might have a customer for you Mike. But to give you guys an up date in the first section I am the second fastest 450 quad. doesn't really mean much cause come race day who knows what'll happen, but it feels good to have that in your rookie year. the mid section is tomorrow and I gotta get up at 2am again so I'll try to upload videos tomorrow of the qualifying runs.

  3. see u there wild man!

Sounds good man did you get your tickets already? plus to get a good spot at the devil's playground you need to be in line early. theres always people camping in line at midnight the night prior.

  4. Who`s doing the Dyno !!

Corey did scared the crap out of me the first run the damn thing ran 38hp and 27lbs of torque:aargh: it use to run 42hp and 30lbs new procom is what caused that. got it up to 47.5hp and 32lbs of torque. I was hoping for 50 but cause it's going to be running at such high altitude he had to lean it out more then usual. I need to do get some head work done to it so I can see if I can make it over that 50hp mark if not a bit higher. and probably a PCV as well.

  5. dba Limits are pointless IMO We don`t build our quads so we can choke the power out by plugging up the exhaust:yes: It boils down to $$$$$ My Vemon exhaust is at 96dbls but thats still loud by Colorado law They should spend their time and $$ workin on safety for the riders:yes: Make a helmet law for insteance JMOI

I agree I wonder were my V sits I haven't tested it yet o well I am sure I'll find out when I get my first forestry ticket.

  6. nothing like getting everything done at the last minute. Got the new a-arms on, brake lines, half a hiper got overnighted to me and an oil change. I just gottas get my quad re dynod and tunes and my quad will be ready for Pikes, but I don't think I am yet. Still waiting on laundry and pack. I'll put pics and videos up as I go along this week.

  7. depends on the quad my KFX700 alot of people do what they call a 12 hole mod were you drill 12 1" inch holes around the edges of the the airbox lid. were as my 450 likes no air box at all. it mainly depends on your riding applications and what people have found works best for the specific quad.

  8. There are more maps for more serious mods, such as a turbo, or N2o. From what I have read, there isnt enough adjustability on the Dobeck style controller.

you're kinda correct but not. All the PCV does is with the piggy back system you can get for it you can do the autotune. which isn't really an auto tune at all its to set a trim program to run the main pcv to be leaner or richer. Which is why so many guys with the turbos and high mods like them cause they maintain that 13:1 but all it a PCV does is control the fuel mapping. You need another piggy back to adjust the timing if you're running a pcv or a programmable ecu like a procom. a Doebeck from what I've read is just another CDI box like you would put on a carb quad no adjustments just 2000 rpm higher rev limiter. As well as a PCV won't control nitrous thats usually controlled by a separate controller and thats the person with their hands on the bars pressing the button.

  9. Just like bot said a controller is a controller. But the benefit of having one that's completely customizable is, if you have access to a dyno you can keep that 13:1 ratio more constant. And get every little bit of power out of your engine. Now depending on how often you change altitude affects what kind of controller you would want to get.

  10. I am all for treading lightly and respecting others on the trails, it's common trail safety/consideration for others.

My big issue is that the forest rangers and the parks and recreation association here caters more towards the coalitions trying to shut down local riding trails then actually fight for our rights to keep the trails open. Between having to do an environmental study to see what kind of impact an event will cause to the local wildlife, cause if you fail in one county you failed the whole state and you're not allowed to re-test for another year if not longer depending on who does the test and if the person doing the test likes your organization or not.

As well as training rangers on how to implement the new sound regulations correctly instead of just look at a bike or quad and just say "You have an aftermarket pipe you don't meet the dB requirements. Here's your ticket." Seen it happen and got in an argument with friend that's a wild life officer that claimed she could tell what dB level a quad was at without her meter. :aargh:

We all do our best to play by the rules but just like every other legislation agency in America there's to many private interest groups involved and crooked people in charge.

  11. At the age of 17 I purchased 85 honda 250 fourtrax. Sold it in 87 to buy a left over 86 250 suzuki quad racer. In 1988 sold quad racer because of lack of places to ride. After several years gone by it was time for new toys. In 2004 got Honda cbr 600 then to Ninja 750 and finally 07 Suzuki 750 gxr. New Years eve of this year bought 2 2003 Honda 300 sportraxs for family fun. Finding places to ride in pa for free is like hitting the lottery but not going to give up trying lol.

Where in PA are you? I have friends that live in frakville and Barnsville that go out every weekend. All they pay is for gas.

  12. Hell I live close to it and I am not going I am actually going to be riding in PA this weekend, they couldn't have held off until next weekend.[/quote

looks like fun Now if I only had a 4x4 quad

they have a sport quad class, they by pass the mud pit. AT least they did last year come dale you know you want to do it.

  13. If it's true I am happy and I hope he's in hell right now realizing he gets no virgins and is being but raped next to hitler and saddam. But with some of the reports of him being buried out to sea and no other evidence makes me raise some suspicions. But either way good riddance. Thank you to the men and women that have served and thank you to the special forces that brought this evil person down.
