you did a really nice job. and the difference between your quad and a new one is, you built it yourself, you have more understanding and respect for it now. that quad of yours is worth more in sentimental value. i think you should call it cyborg. it is so much fun tearing them down and putting them back together, and then you turn the key. i bet you were screaming and dancing inside! again, nice job!

hahaha, never heard that one before. it's a keeper. good dig there CK1999_400ex

ummmm. -13 right now, the high for the day LOL

found this on the web for $4.95
other sites were ridiculas! 70-80 bucks! what gives with that? geeez

not sure of the semi auto, could be just the maual clutch foot shift with no lever to pull. i've only heard of full auto, and manual whether it be electric shift or foot shift.

maybe all you would have to do is keep on the snow, get rid of it as soon as it falls more or less, then it wouldn't be so hard on the machine. you just don't want to be pushing like a dozer ya know? in ontario the snow is wet and heavy, i used to be able to drop the blade halfway and skim the top away and go back and drop the blade on the ground and clear it. you have the same conditions where you are. if you do buy new, make sure you get a winch, and a warn winch. they are the best.
-
it's possible i suppose. i'm not too up on the 250's. are you looking for new or used? used machines are plentiful and are inexpensive somewhat. always guys selling off cheap thru the winter months ... if you budget like 5-6 grand for new, you could get a hellofa machine for that used
-
i'll post a couple pics of my hondas for you. the 450 i really liked because you could switch from 2 wheel to 4 wheel, unlike the 350 which is full time 4 wheel. and the arms will tire out.
-
if i was wanting to do what you want to do, buy a honda 350 or 450. straight rear axle, manual shift. they are tanks. i had both in ontario and i used them both for plowing, and hauling wood. excellent machines. i'd buy another at the drop of a hat!

i think NightHawk is right. sounds like the starter to me too

i like to go wherever i can, off the beaten path. i like water, mud and hills. its a big stress relief for me mostly
-
i like the itp xtr, but they are rough on smooth surfaces and hard to turn or roll stopped. i like the bear claws too.
-
but thats what its all about, posting comments and encouraging a good raport with everyone. sure its a bonus for getting prizes and wearing the belt. hahaha
i'm getting more comfortable with this site with posting pics and vids, whether your interest or mine or someone elses, and commenting on the same. we are all here cause we own quads and have fun and its a cool lil brotherhood/sisterhood .... i'll shut up now
and congrats to everyone who wins, places or shows

hahahaha, now i'm in alberta with a 500 over. if you wanna check me, better get that rc(mp) heli in the air but fast, cause i ain't stoppin' LOL

i think anywhere here in canada you must be insured, legally. if you drive on your own property, no. in ontario i had an acreage and great neighbors who also quadded so it was perfect. about 400 acres total between us. i also bought a trail pass, so i had to be insured and plated. money grab yes i know... ontario insurance was high, better rate if you have 500cc and under, just about double 500cc up. needless to say you saw alot of unders around.

i think i found it here?
sure looks the same and has the spec sheet too

i have a friend that bought the knock off rhino, looks fantastic and yamaha oem parts fit body, not sure about the rest of it. here are some links of chinese knock offs. hope you can spot it somewhere. maybe if it looks so much like yamaha, a dealer might be able to tell you who's it is. just a thought. try digging for a label or stamp if still there too. even if you find the year could be a start .... great price
only problem i see, if its older, even the knock offs stay with the times, i mean, all you will see on those links mostly is new models, so it will be hard to narrow down ...
ATV, China ATV, ATV Manufacturers, China ATV Suppliers
Wholesale ATV, Chinese Quad, China Quads.
Roketa, Yamoto, Redcat, Sunl, Jetmoto, Alpine might be a brand to scout out

i have a plug kit and a compressor (small) that plugs into the lighter hole. the compressor is small enough to keep my roll of t.p., 25' strap, gloves, and other stuff company under the seat. i think there is a can of tire inflate under there too.
