@Gunny Great video as usual! Do you ever see any wildlife? That's a lot of snow...some of those snow drifts are insane! Feel like I'm riding when watching, pretty cool. Just need a VR headset and I can ride on a quad with tracks vicariously through you!

Thanks Ajmboy, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I see wildlife sometimes. However, most of the time it's on the drive up to the parking lot or the drive going back home. And if I do see any out on the snow, by the time I can dig my camera out, they're gone.

Yes, it is a lot of snow, but there should be more. Anyway, that's what I think, but it's still early in the season ... so ... PRAY FOR SNOW !!! I agree, I love that drift area & try to get up there as often as I can to see them & see how they've changed.

Well alrighty, glad you enjoy the "Ride-A-Long" ... :twitsy: ... And THANKS for watch'in too !!!  :notworthy:

Nice video, winter here has been terrible. Ski slopes are not that good right now. The snow in the trees is from snowmaking, They only got a few hours in before it warmed up.

Thanks Mikeexplorer Guy ... glad you enjoyed the video and I THANK YOU for watch'in too !!! :notworthy:

Man, that photo is sad for sure. However, we have soon, just not the amounts we should have. Here's hoping you get some soon so the skiing isn't on dirt & rocks !!

......... I’m wondering if anyone has tried a conversion to a typical twist grip throttle as found on all motorcycles? If so, how do you like it?

Hey, Hey, Hey Frosty Guy .... to answer your question. I put a twist throttle on my ATV's WAY back. Back when I had a Suzuki Quad Sport & I loved it. I've never ridden motorcycles either. I've ridden all over with this throttle, Dunes, Snow, Mountains, Down in the Swell in Utah & in Moab. If you're use to a motorcycle twist, then IMHO ... No problem. Go For It !!!

Anyway, I now have on my 2014 Can-Am Outlander 1000. BUT, it's not your typical motorcycle type twist throttle. It's a "Dual Gasser". Terrycable  has them ... as does Moose Racing ... and DAMN, they've really gone up in price since I bought mine. However, like I wrote, I love mine !!

@Gunny what's up buddy!  Hows the machine, tracks still holding up well ?

Hey Angerano ... things are good. There's been some family stuff going on & I'm spending a little more time taking care of my dad so I'm not getting out as much. Yup, the tracks are still holding up, Thanks for ask'in !! :biglaugh:

    Here's a vid I put together from a couple weeks ago ...

Looks like a nice riding area. dont have any mountain roads near me, but i'd love to have a set of tracks to play with on the bays when the ice gets here.

    thanks for the video

It's a great riding area Mark G Guy ... and tracks are a blast. These Backcountry tracks may not be the best tracks to ride on ice with since they have 2 inch tall paddles, but hey, sleds do it correct !?!? There are some 4 season tracks out there that would work better on ice & still get you around great in the snow. Heck, I have a set of those out in the shed ...

Glad you enjoyed the video Mark G & THANKS for watch'in it too !!!  :notworthy:

It's now summer season, so we will have to wait for next winter ( at least at my area where I live ). Check my channel in YouTube where I have videos on snow and already on better conditions :) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPNu9_grsQq2bYsLWtHw1aA

I already post a topic, but still wait for approval.

yup, the waiting for snow season is upon us ... ........ but soon, it'll return & then ........ YEAH BUDDY !!!  :jiggy:

Well I might just drop by to check out your channel ...  :twitsy:

  10. Well Frank, the tires Ajmboy mentioned are good tires. But since you mentioned you're liking the mud, water & want snorkels ... I'd look at the Maxxis Zilla tires. I've read they are a pretty good all around tire and pretty good in the mud. They are light, so they don't rob any horsepower, & they are fairly inexpensive, as far as ATV tires go.

No, I've never ran these tires, but I want to. However, I have to other sets of tires I need to wear at first ..... sigh .... and here's a good place to look at for purchasing, should you go with this tire, or any other brand/style they sell.
