  1. WoooHoooo I got a 45 min. to an hour ride in with my wife on the back. Only real pain for my hand was the front brake. I still can't open twist off lids but I can ride. We even got a little muddy. 2 nights ago we had sleet & 50's yesterday & 60's today. I plan to ride tomarrow if my sinus clear up. I got a video of the ride I will post it later. It's good to be back on the quad.:biggrin::cute::laugh:

  2. Thanks Swampcat. I've seen that twist throttle it pushes your thumb throttle. I rather spend the 102.00 and get the Motions pro twist throttle. I should be ok as long as I take it slow & my gloves have some good padding in the palm. A new quad with Eps would be my best friend.

  3. I'm in the market for a trained monkey that knows how to ride a quad. I need a driver to take me for a ride. Here's the winter months and were in the 60's we've had a load of rain and more on the way so there is plenty of mud. I go back this friday to the Dr. for my follow up with my hand. My neck is still not doing good but its not going to stop me from riding when my hand heals enough.

  4. A lot of you know I had to buy a nonrunning quad to get a replacement frame for my prairie 650. I paid 300.00 today I sold all the left over parts for 200.00 The stuff was worth more than that I'm sure but at the same time I don't have too part it out and wait for buyers and shipping no ads no calls to deal with & I get all the stuff out of my way and get that part of my garage back.

  5. Got my 2nd set of injections in to my disc I pray it works out it's not a good time to have surgery. The hand is doing better I have been thinking about trying a slow and easy ride to see how it does. I'm not to lift no more than 4lbs with it so I don't know about using it to push & pull on the handlebars I can get by not using the front brakes. Then theirs the throttle. and the bumps that feed back thru the bars. I could just ride it around the neighbor hood on the street. I need toooooo ride:aargh:

  6. If you shop around you should be able to find a good used 4x4 utility in your price range bigger than a 3oo cc. I agree with swapcat you will be looking for a 500 maybe bigger. The 500 cc range quads is something you would be happy with for years. I know some adults ride 300 cc quads but most of the time we see maybe 12 to 15 year old kids riding the 300 size quads. The only 300 I have rode latley was an older Kawasaki prairie 300 it was a rough ride on the trials I have a 03 Kawasaki prairie 650 and it handles better and is alot smoother on the trial. I'm sure the newer quads would or should be better than mine and the 300 I rode. When you get up to the 500cc they tend to have better suspension some stright axle and some IRS. Just do your research go for a few test rides and compare the different size quads.

  7. I mis not keep up with things on here. Looks like I'm needing more repairs than my prairie did. I'm going for my 2nd injections into my neck for the discs. The Dr. said today if this doesn't work it's nothing left but to have surgery. I'm still waiting on my hand to heal so I can ride. I'm going to need a stright jacket & a padded room It's about a year recover time on a fusion six weeks just to get to drive a car:aargh:
