Recommended Posts

OK,

my brother and now my brother inlaw and I all have a TRX250X

we picked up, not having alot of money to sink in them

what are some suggesttions?

like ive heard that 400ex front A arms will work on them but do you have to lengthen your tie rods?

some cheap mods? what carb to possibly upgrade to? ETC.

We have always built up cheaply since noi real budgets but i love riding so i want to keep up

better and have a better ride also

hell i out a 400EX rear shock on my old blaster it was amazing how much better it rode.

anyways anything would be great thanks.

The 400ex arms may fit, the only way to make sure is just measure both and see. The 400ex a-arms measure about 6 inches from the inner sides top and bottom, and about 9 1/8 in to the outer sides on top and 9 1/2 in on the bottom. If they do fit, they will be wider, so it would be best to use the tie rods of the 400 too. If they fit, the shocks will be too soft for the wider arms so you will want to do something about that. I would think that the 400ex shocks would be a bit long, but they may work. I would not bother with a carb upgrade before some other motor mods are done. First thing to do is find yourself a good exhuast, if you need to keep it super cheap, check ebay for some decent used pipes. A high flow intake, and modified airbox lid are cheap and easy. Just remember, with each upgrade, a jetting change is likely going to be needed.

If you had to choose one mod that you couldn't live without, or had to recommend one what would it be?

I'm having trouble identifying Mark. I know where the mark is in the Stator cover. Is the T at about, the 12 o'clock position in this photo? I've got to buy another Stator cover as the one I have has a hole at the bottom of it. Due to failing eyes, I have a lot of trouble anymore. Thanks! 🙂

I have to replace all 4, how much is involved?  Will they slide out of the front yoke? Or, do the boots just slide over the wheel end?

So here where I live in Newfoundland Canada, they let you drive your bike on the road provided it’s registered and insured same goes for crossing highways but on trails you don’t need to be insured. And I don’t even think you need a full license to insure your bike they said it was up to the insurance company. I’m trying to get my old 1985 Suzuki 250 registered they have to do a search for it to make sure it hasn’t been in anyone else’s name first. Hopefully it comes back clean I am pretty excited
