Sounds to me like power isn't getting from the battery anywhere if that light doesn't come on when you turn the key. I would check the battery connections, ground, and all the main fuses.

Check the ignition switch and the plugs going to it.

Get familiar with a multi meter and the continuity settings to see what’s working/not.  The tester is also good to check voltage.

Start going through the wiring in sections.  See what has voltage and keep moving from there.

      Hey Guys,
I just bought my first Quad, a 2014 Sportsman 400 HO and want to replace the battery. It's not dead, but the voltage seems low and I'm not sure how old the battery is. What does everybody recommend for a replacement battery? Is there a difference that I should know about? I see Gel batteries, Regular Acid sealed batteries and a lot of different prices. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone have one or know where to get a replacement or the body of one? I found one place but they want $245.00 for it and at that price ill just keep pull starting it. I live in Michigan. i have all the old parts but the magnets blew up in this one. I think previous owners tried to free it up with a sledge lol

Hello everyone, did a search and not successful. Purchased new 2017 Sportsman 570 sp and my power steering is not working. Seems to have a mind of it's own. Works then it doesn't. Dealer says there's not a fix. Thought it was just me and it being a brand new machine with 4 hours on it. Dealership said it's this model only ? Not sure what a person in this spot is suppose to do and wondering are your thoughts mite be. Thanks

Bought a nonrunning 1996 bayou 400. Tore down engine and found major problems. Piston is damaged and cylinder liner needs replacing. Looks like cause was a broken oil pump gear.

Question is can a piston from a prairie 400 be used? Is it the same engine? I assume the liner is replaceable?

i wired to the winch feed that comes right from the battery. i went throuhg the switch to the light bar with AND without a relay. both time i get code C1326 on the dash and loose my EPS. what am i doing wrong? should i be feeding the bar and switching to ground? i just installed a new battery the dealer said will fix it and same problem C1326. $120 wasted again at the dealer. why can't i talk with the mechanics at these places? sales people know little about the new machines and just smile at my wallet.brand new machine by the way too.
