Alright guys,

It’s time that all of you closet quad riders come out. . That's right I’m talking to you! It’s ok to admit that you secretly ride a quad. Just because you need two extra tires to ride is nothing to be ashamed of.

If there is enough interest, I will be planning a quad ride for Saturday the 12th at Nelson Hills outside of Las Vegas Nevada. I plan on keeping on the two track trails that go across the mountains and see how much territory that we can cover. This ride will be about 40 miles so fuel should not be a problem. The pace might not be to fast since I am not sure how I will do on a quad. I have not ridden mine since my back surgery in February of last year. I will be riding one of my Honda TRX 450 race quads. This should be a dusty ride (I love the dust). We will meet at the Railroad Pass Casino (Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino) at 8:30 AM for breakfast and leave at 9:30 AM to Nelson. Ya that’s right, us closet quad guys like a little beauty sleep. Please post up if you can attend. I will proceed with this ride if I get 4 or more people sign up. I will post on Friday afternoon that the ride is on or not. If you choose to attend this ride please do not be late.

I look forward to riding with all of you!

PS. You 2 wheel guys can tag along if you like dust.

Alright kiddies, The ride is on in spite of the lack of enthusiasm from the quad community. I dusted off one of my race quads (the one I will be selling) and I was surprised it started with only 4 kicks. You got to love the Honda's for reliability. Meeting at the Railroad Pass Casino as stated above and we will be parking at the slab. Look forward to riding with all of you.

Now get out and ride!

So many things can go wrong, while out riding, even when with others, when getting away from the group! Try to always ride with at least one other person! If your over 50 and ride alone let me know, I'll try to go with you. I know the trails pretty good, up north, around St Helen, Mi. or I'll try to try areas of the state your more accustom to. I know its too cold now, but spring will be here before you can blink an eye lol
I can ride with the slowest dude in the pack, to WOT! Get in touch before season starts for more inf. Thanks, Steve

      Hello all,
I haven't had a dirt bike or ATV for years, but a buddy of mine just picked up a raptor 700 and makes me want to get back into the sport. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck utility quad that can go in snow, but also hit some small jumps and trail ride. It would mostly be used for light trail riding; not really any mud holes or jumps around me (Bristol, Massachusetts). My last bike was a 2004 yz125 2 stroke and it was a pain. Every other ride I was doing something to the bike. I'm looking for a utility quad that I can ride for a month without having to touch it. I've done a bit of research so far and it seems like my best bet would be ~2014 Yamaha grizzly 700 with ~1000 miles for about $5,000. I'd love some more opinions from people who are more knowledgeable about the sport. I'm looking to stay around that $5,000 range. Also, there's no trails around me to go more than 40 or 50mph so I'm not too worried about keeping up with the 700.

      Thanks,
      Nick

I have a gentleman that asked me to service his bayou for him.  I have always wondered what oil should be used in atv engines?  Pros?  Cons?  What weight should be used in what type of weather?  Is there one kind that I could bulk buy and safely used in any quad I worked on or owned?  What about performance?  Engine Life?  This has always been a 🤔🤔🤔 area for me with quads as far as why you would use one type of oil over another....
      Thanks!

So I wanted to start a thread about modifications on ATVs OR SXSs that makem look sick or run better.  It can be any modification from new handlebar grips to a winch to an added lightbar, but I was focusing on tries and rims.  Here are some of my simple additions to my Bayou 300:  I put looker front shocks on it, added a 2500 winch, replaced the headlight with a blinding 6in light bar, and added new and bigger rims and tires:

and just for clarification, all the pics are of it with the lightbar on it, the last one is of the stock headlight.
