i will probabally look for something with low payments..but still a good amount of power..maybe not like class leading or anything..but it will be decent..depends on what i run up on..i would like a raptor 250 but idk if it would be powerful enough.

Don't go lower than a 400 IMO.

reviving this thread for once again another decision to be made!

ok so my bday is like less than a month away..

my parents are giving me 100$

i want to know peoples thoughts on a clamp on K&N and an outerwear.

im looking at a hot shot CDI and Clamp on kit with the outerwears for around 100$

good ?

then when i buy the RCR stage one kit. ill just sell the new filter and airbox vents on ebay for like 20-30$ and make some money back.

That's one thing I don't mess with is the carb. One small mistake can spell disaster for a motor. I blew up the motor in the CR500 3 times in a month because it wasn't jetted right. All my fault, since then I pay for carb work.

k brb let me buy a race chassis from AZ bad boys and a 440 exterminator motor and ill race ya.

o yeah i forgot. with that kit. it comes with stuff for clutching too..so add that to the equation. still the FMF?

they say the 440 exterminator is about 68-70 hp at your fingertips..now thats a scrammy!

lol

truth.

a clutch kit is only like 108$ some places. ill just get one when i get more money..

then it will be bad as*.

lol

oh yeah and tires...should i stay with the stock size? 22?

or lower?

i was thinking maybe 20's?

If you drop down to a 21 front 20 rear you will get a bit better acceleration. I love my size set up. Good for racing and for trails. Dropping size you will also lose 1" clearance.

but i cant find any affordable tires.

that will be another purchase ill make after everything else lol.

i like holeshots..

holeshot XC's are nice,.

I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this UTV.  When I turn the switch to on, the contractor does not engage.  The Brake pressure switch and the parking brake switches work correctly. What else should I be looking for?  All of the diagrams I have found are for newer models and the wire color coding is different.

      Thanks

Hello all, I have a 2006 Polaris Sawtooth with no spark. It has a dead battery but with a jump pack on it, it will still not Spark. Plug is good, Throttle ETC is not closed, Stator pick up coil seems to Ohm out in the correct range, Unsure how to properly check the CDI. And when ignition is on the Neutral and reverse light come on but after cranking just the neutral stays on.

      Any help would be great,

      Thanks!

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks
