1990 suzuki LT-F250 4x4 rear axle

Recommended Posts

I need to get a rear axle for this machine.  Are 2wd and 4wd the same axle?

Are left and right the same axle?

What years will fit a 1990?

Thanks

I would think 88-90 or 92 would work. But I would check around online. Look at the parts houses and compare some of the parts diagrams. Are you looking for used that you want to know what range of years would work?

Thanks, That's what I'm doing now but getting conflicting numbers. I'll just keep digging.

I found a used one but will take 2 weeks to get here. The axles are the same from 88 to 02. left and right are the same and the axles are the same either 2 or 4 wheel drive. Maybe someone else can use this info.

I've had this machine for 2ish years, has ran great up until winter. Sometime during then, I managed to break the exhaust right before the muffler. The summer before it had a hard time idling, but we fixed it by cleaning the carb, and messing with idle. Near the end of last year, the only way for it to fire was the have full choke, and full throttle, and the engine bogged down and you had to keep on throttle for 25mins. Over winter, the throttle had dislocated, and I got it back in place. We got it running, and all was good. Spring came along, and now it doesn't start at all. A fluid is coming out of the exhaust, and I'm told it could be water from over winter. I checked the airbox, and the air filter isn't for this quad, it also is barely sucking air. There appears to be little to no compression, based on this. I'm pretty sure the engine is flooded, as the spark plug produces a spark, but is oxidized. I don't know how the previous owner treated it, or when it's last oil change was. A bolt on the engine has either oil or gas seeping through it,abd was loose. I tightened it and it consisted. The engine is basically positioned in the rear, and it needs a good clean, I don't have a pressure washer, so I can get the built on dirt off. any recommendations on how to get the beast started again?

I just got this quad a few days ago and finally got it running. It has oil leaking and it seems to be coming out around a cylinder bolt. Not the valve cover but just below and to the rear. Is there supposed to be crush washers on that bolt? and what are those bolts supposed to be torqued at?
      Thanks

I am looking for an LT-F250 and I want to know if there are any common problems that develop over time so that I know what to look for when buying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 250 2x4 that I purchased a while ago as a project. I fixed it up to where everything was working great in my opinion, however when I showed it to a potential buyer he complained about a vibration from the rear drive shaft. (Which I ridiculous seeing as he tried to wheelie it before that) Anyways I took the rear diff apart and found most of the seals and bearings where bad. So I bought a kit off of amazon only to find that it doesn’t have all of the bearings and seals. After finding that I decided to try to find a used good condition replacement but they’re all to expensive for me so is there a better alternative for me, or can someone point me in the right direction to get the rest of the parts?

Hi, I just bought a used 1990 warrior and the rear is sagging low like it has a lowering kit but I’m not sure, does anyone know what it could be?

Looking for a guru to help me get the top end back together. I'm stumped!! There seems to be an issue with the removable chain guide on the left hand side. In its current position (which is probably incorrect) there's not enough clearance to get the chain on the sprocket and be able to line up the timing. Does the guide rest on the side or is it supposed to be in the notch underneath? I have a manual, but it doesn't show the correct positioning on that guide. I tried to fit it in the notch, but then the cylinder head doesn't seem to seat properly. Let me know if you need pictures. Any help (and pictures) you able to provide will be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks in advance!!
