Have you checked the fuel flow from the tank ? Sometimes the petcock has a screen or a blockage that does not allow the fuel to flow freely.  Also the air/fuel screw, was it put back in properly? I’ve seen people put the washer in before the o ring etc. So be sure it’s back in the right way.

Second is the bowl and fill pin working and set correctly. It might be set to low and closes off fuel to the carburetor prematurely.

Lastly I always recommend sending in a small piece of wire through the ports on the carb. Sometimes air just isn’t enough to clear out a tiny hole like that and the final adjustment. Air fuel adjustment set point? What did you set it at and have you tried to adjust it while the bikes running?

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks
