Have a Yamaha Worrior 350 and replaced everything on it now except the stator.. could that be the problem for it not starting. It's getting everything it needs to run, but the dude who I got it from said he had it running and had a new stator in it but it blew/started smoking, and then it shut off and didn't mess with it since. Was wondering if that could happen and if that's true.. if so I'll buy a new stator and I know it won't blow because every electronic component is replaced on that ATV, except the starter.. have to get a new one because mine blew up in the inside. So need help..

I did it and there's only on wire that beeps when I do the test. The rest are getting voltage. But u don't know if it needs to be replaced because of that..

Ok quick test, each of the three wires coming from the stator. Test each wire one at a time, one wire to the ground on the atv with the tester.  So, test lead to one wire and the other test lead to a good ground.  If you get a beep or any ohm reading then the stator is shorted.

Do that with all three wires one at a time and see what you get.

Second test is go from wire to wire and see what reading you get as well. You should get a number reading from wire to wire and they should all be in the same range.

I did that with a video on YouTube on Rocky Mountain ATV. So there is on beep on one of the white wires so that means I have to replace it. Thanks for the help..

Hello, the ATV doesn't stop anymore so I guess it is time to replace the brakes. Looking for part number and instructions. I think it may have shoes front + back and the front would be hydraulic.

Hello to the group, I am working on a 96 timber wolf. Runs great until it gets good and warm then starts missing and puffs smoke and dies. Plug then is black and sooty. Clean plug and let it cool and then it runs fine again until it gets warm. Engine has decent compression, carb it clean. What am I missing?
