Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I recently picked up a 2012 XC450 that has a few issues. The biggest issue that i see is that it flashes P0630 which i understand to mean that the ECu is not programmed to the VIN for that specific unit. This makes sense because I know the previous owner swapped it out for some reason. I contacted my mechanic and he has no idea how to get the PIN number for me to enter to clear this code. Is this something that I can just call any Arctic Cat dealer and give them my VIN and they will give me the pin? Or do i have to physically take the machine 200+ miles to the closest dealer for repair?
There has to be an easy way.
Thanks!

Try calling the dealer first. Its part of the anti-theft system I think. They need to login to Arctic Cat's system and reset, enter the vin. There there is a procedure you can do.

After i did my rebuild it seems to not want to shift well. I think the cable is alright, and when it does shift its nice and solid. I have to basically use my hand to shift and i have to pull or push it very far, like max travel, to get it to shift. I also tried adjusting the clutch set screw. Any ideas where to go next, or maybe i should just grab a new cable to try.

I am having an issue with a hs500. I bought it broken and have been trying to get it running. It seems to be starving for fuel. If I put my hand over the intake it will crank but will not run for very long because I'm not able to get the correct airflow with my hand. The things I have done so far are. Replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, mass airflow sensor, idle air adjuster, fuel injector, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the ecu, and still the same issue. I notice the injector does not spray when removed from the head. I dont know if that is common.

I am out of ideas on what to do next. I have removed the fuel line from the injector and it is getting plenty of fuel. If anyone has an idea on what could possibly be the issue I would be happy to try anything at this point.

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?
