I have a 2006 artic cat 500. It runs fine, but once you put it in gear it wont budge, cant push it, wheels are locked. If you try to throttle up, the motor bogs down, almost like its gonna choke out.

Put it in neutral and it will roll all day.

Is this a belt issue, or am I looking at major repairs.

That sounds  like the transmission might be stuck in both forward and reverse at the same time. The motor will  bog because the  clutches lock up and the transmission won't let it move. It  could be  something came loose on the shifting forks allowing both forward and reverse to be engaged  at the same time.  I don't  know  your machine so I  can't say whether it is an external  adjustment or  if you'll have to  open the transmission to fix it .. Likely an  inexpensive fix, but a PIA  to  do .

There is a service manual  in the downloads section that  should cover your machine .

How to replace throttle assembly spring?

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks

Looking for two stock front wheels for 92 TRX300 2WD.   I think they are 6 x11" size.

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?
