So you have 2 stroke sport quad right? My buddy has an 86 and it flys. I don't know why yours wouldn't have much top end. As far as plastics, Maier makes awsome stuff. USUALLY fits know problem. All holes line up.

Ummmm,,,,Yea,,,,,Push your Thumb in Farther:wink:

Do you have the 4 Trax or the 250R?

Maier is Good...There really isnt anything bad about their stuff....

nope 4 stroke, its a utility or 4trax model, i wish it was as easy as pushing harder i guess there is some more throttle there but the motor sounds like its revving quite high......i guess im just a bit nervous to push it to far

To be Honest....That bike was meant to work....I wouldnt touch the motor....There really isnt any point in it....Not worth upgrades and Such.....If you want a little more Top end...Try Changing the sprockets.....That is the Cheapest/easiest way, without Ruining the Reliability, to get more Top Speed.....

Hope that helps..

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

Have you ever been on the trail and your tire valve goes bad. No way to break down the wheel and replace it. A lot of you probably know about this already i had heard of it but never used one. Just punch out the old one insert and tighten down the nut

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
