Hi, new here, have an 02 quest 650 xt. Glad to have found this place.

 

Have an issue with shifter, very loose and cannot shift gears, feels like not attached. Best way to tackle opening transmission?

I have a 2003 Quest XT 650 and the Primary Clutch is corroded and frozen. It is being replaced. The secondary clutch is workable but will need to be cleaned. It looks like they took it through water but never cleaned it and after a long period of sitting, it just corroded and won’t shift.

      Timberwolf 250 starting issue

      Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

      I just bought a 1984 Suzuki LT185 ATV and am looking for the OWNER’S manual. ( not a service manual) 
      I contacted Suzuki Canada but they have no paper or digital copies in their archives. 
      Does anyone possibly have a digital copy they’d be willing to share?

      I am pretty new to ATV/UTV/Small engine repairs and would like input on your absolute must-have specialty tools for maintenance and repairs. Aside from the obvious wrenches and sockets, what are some more specialty type tools you use for troubleshooting? I don't plan to open a repair shop or anything, I just do this as a hobby. Looking forward to your responses!

      2002 Polaris 400 Sportsman Shift Indicator Issues

      I'm working on a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 400 with shift indicator problems. The indicator panel only will show Neutral and Reverse. If it's in High or Low, the indicator will show "R".
      I have replaced the three position indicator switch on the transmission. There is also a two position switch on the tranny that I didn't replace. If anyone is familiar with this problem, please let me know what I need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!
