Yamaha Kodiak 400 2001 No Spark

I am looking at a 2001 Kodiak 400 on marketplace haven't bought it yet, he says it has no spark but engine turns over and wants 500.00 for it . Is that a reasonable price ? Im a little skeptical . In my area these older bikes are selling in running condition 2500 -3000. Seems high for a 20 year old quad

I would buy it for $500. Even if you put in another $500-1000 into it, you are way ahead. As long as the rest of the quad is on good shape. Even older name brand quads sell for good amount of money.

Thanks for the response. Those were my thoughts exactly, but so far, buying on marketplace, they are never quite as good as the seller says, but usually I buy them cheap enough that I can get them running and be ok, if all the parts are there.
