I have a new (600KM) Lifan 200 and the carburetor appears to not be functioning admirably. After the bicycle has been sitting for an hour or somewhere in the vicinity, it is extremely difficult to begin and requires heaps of gag, and beginning it over and over before it will at last run smooth. I dropped it off at a technician and he dismantled the carburetor and attempted to do check whether there was whatever he might do. He changed it overall quite well, yet no karma. His best arrangement was to supplant it with a Honda carb which he yanked off of an old bicycle to attempt. It worked however didnt seat very right so we set the bygone one back on. I realize I cannot anticipate that the chinese bicycle should run like a fresh out of the box new honda, however not beginning like this can be an issue particularly assuming its pouring hard or on the other hand if im in a terrible area of town and need to rapidly move. Do I simply have to purchase a more excellent carb, or is it conceivable to change this one all around ok? The mechaninc came energetically suggested, however he is accustomed to dealing with Hondas.

It sounds to like your carb needs some more work and then adjusting. I'd suspect the hard start is flooding and probably because the float needle isn't sealing perfectly. If you have a fuel tap I'd suggest turning that off for a few minutes before you turn the engine off and run it dry, then when you go to start it after an hour or so turn it on and let the carb fill and see if it starts easy. If it does, then the fuel tap or float needle needs checking better.

Other than that it might just need the mixture adjusting..

If you try the run it dry test and let us know how that goes I'll suggest what next.

I just saw a video on TikTok where some guy took the rear end off an ATV and bolted on a roto tiller in place of rear wheels. I wish i saved that video to post here....good thing it was 4 wheel drive...lol but, it seemed to work.
I'm not sure how he made it bolt on to the drive....

Is there any way to mod an Outlaw 50 to increase the speed? The size is perfect just would like a little more top end speed. Thanks

I bought this Eiger about a year ago it has been my runner while i worked on my other projects, except today it wouldnt crank, i suspect it is the  petcock not letting fuel through. When i bought it it had a multitude of problems, but i just ignored those and rode it any way, put it on the back burner while i worked on my other projects with more serious problems, like stuck engine ,wiring harness ripped out, and wheels locked up. Got those all sorted out and since it wouldnt crank today decided it was time to refine this one. When i got it it had a bad Non OEM carb replaced it with a cheap aftermarket until i could find a descent priced OEM to rebuild, and have been riding it ever since. It also had a bad petcock, would only run on prime, neutral light didnt work, no brakes, which are a luxury anyway, but as im getting older luxurys are nice to have, so i guess i will fix those. I paid a little more for this one, $800 but he wanted $1500, because it ran and moved and most things seemed to work, and it didnt smoke, even with the bad carb. Generally 500 is my limit for a non runner, since this one ran i upped my limit a little. So i got it out of the shed before the mice got in it for the winter and started going over it today.

I would never buy a new camouflaged one because of what you see here, and it almost stopped me from buying this one, but it is what it is, not much i can do for that now, they did look nice when new, i am toying with the idea of replacing the plastics while i can still get them, but am not there yet, expensive.

I think the snorkel has got to go its not hooked up anyway. Looks like a perfect mouse house.

Hi everyone!  I am rebuilding my father's 2022 Sportsman 450HO that caught fire and wrecked all of the body and melted much of the wiring harness. I was able to source a used harness to splice in, but it's missing the wires and connectors going to the left side controls (Start/stop, headlight hi/lo & reverse overide). I haven't been able to find individual part #'s for these plugs/pigtails, Polaris only lists the entire harness for a huge amount $$$. At 72 yrs old, the last thing he needs is to spend all his money on a quad he's only had less than a year, lol. Does anyone know of the part #'s for these, or an aftermarket source?  Thanks!

So, I just bought this quad off a acquaintance of mine… anyways, it’s missing the airbox which I’m trying to purchase if I could only figure out the year and what model of lt230 it is due to having only 9 visible digits for a vin…guy said he had the title at one point and lost it when he moved houses after the flood of 08 in Iowa….I just desperately need to know what model this thing is so I can start getting to work on it….it does run after a good carb cleaning….I’m having trouble getting it to idle though due to essentially just having a rigged up air filter with no airbox on the bike…I’ve sanded down the plastics and it looks like the original color was orange and the seat I believe is either from a different Suzuki or it’s been painted gold and black? The plastic nose part is originally black…it has the lever for reverse by the sprocket it has a pull string to start and I think originally it has electric start as well….idk I’ve had to bypass and use a screwdriver on the starter Solenoid to get it to start …someone has definitely done some rigging with the wiring as well.but if anyone has any clue what I need to look for to identify the year and actual model so I can get the right stuff. I’d appreciate it.
