1992 Kawaki Concours 1000 cc kick as* machine with custom cam.  I got it with 65 K on it. Had to epoxy cote the rusty fuel  tank as  it had sat for years.. Had a specialist tune the 4 Carburetors and do the cam work...Love that sucking sound when my wrist rotates..and it goes BAROOOOMMMMMM!..  94 K on it now.

Suzuki 650 "Savage".. I bought it new 14yrs ago. I put 30k miles on it. Suzuki stopped production, not sure what year. It's a single cylinder, extremely lightweight, belt driven "Savage" correctly named.. note: Suzuki changed the name to S40 (40 cubic inch displacement)

I had (its in a basket in Grandpa's barn) a Yamaha 500 cc thumper.   Compresson release Kick Start machine... I put 19 K on it when i was in College.  I still have a Suzuki FA 50 cc that i got for Grandma.   I rode it at Bike rallies,  Nascar Daytona 500 ,and  Homestead FL  to shuttle around the parking lot and get in trouble....BTW in Europe they call it the Shuttle bike.  I want to sell it.

BTW I am not a TOMBOY I can make the best gravy.

My first bike was a Kawhockey (yes I spelled it wrong) 125cc trail enduro. It was street legal and pretty good in the dirt with the proper tires. Problem with tire choice, any compromise on tread and you lose performance on dirt or pavement. Same with ATVehicles

Yes, but I never got into trail bikes / riding.....too dangerous!

I prefer touring motorcycles.  I mostly ride a newer Harley Road King, but also a Harley Road Glide depending on my  location.

For more quiet riding I ride a BMW K1600 which is rated at 160 hp

Those are big touring bikes sunn. I had a 4-cylinder shaft driven yammy-hammy. It was really really quiet and being a 4-cylinder it was totally vibration free. Eventually I decided it was too heavy. That's when I bought the suzy-Q 650 Street bike. Half the weight and could cruise the highway all day with the throttle just cracked open

My first bike i could ride on the street was a Honda Trail 90. I banged it up pretty good

My dad had a little Honda scooter. 1966 I think. Displacement was around 60-75cc but not sure. Definitely for pavement. I think he bought it from a neighbor for $50

Daytona....Oh My....That one bar has quite a collection of ladies apparel hanging on the rafters.   The Harley Bikers are friendly and tolerate us people with Rice burner machines... I had my Kaw there once...You have to have a  liquid cooled bike there as the traffic is stopped and you sit a lot.

Last time I was there, we rode over from Port Charlotte & stayed at the ABATE Campground , met up with several friends from Michigan & cruised the Strip! Had a good time, then up to Michigan for a friends Wedding where I was Best Man !

Fun memories!   Yeah  when the bikers are in town there is no place to stay for   a hundred miles.   The girls at the restaurants say the Bikers are the best tippers!  Nascar  et al not nearly as good.

If you like vintage bikes you should go to Barber Vintage Festival in Alabama in October its a big deal about 20 to 30 thousand people attend each year. Vintage motorcycle races, swap meets and new motorcycle vendors lots of fun.

I have been going since its beginning in 2005 but havent been since COVID they didnt have it for several years after, back when i was a member of all the clubs i was a Judge for the competition. Lots of beautifully restored Harleys, Indians, Triumphs and many i had never heard of. The VJMC section has all the Japanese bikes we remember growing up in 60s 70s and some 80s all beautifully restored better than when new.

Hi guys, I was given a 2000 Honda Recon fourtrax 250 (I think that's the full name lol). The previous owner had it sitting for a while before I got it. It sat for another few years in my ownership. I got it up and going on its first test drive today!! I was wondering where everyone buys their parts from?  Coming from the car community, we have sites like RockAuto and many more. Anything like that for quads? Also would like to be pointed in a direction, if possible, for plastics. I am missing a few and would like to have it complete. I appreciate any input!

So I decided to pick up a small trailer if I could get one for the right price.  I found this one for a few hundred bucks on Craig’s list.  It is  a galvanized trailer which is exactly what I was looking for. The wood was shot and needed some minor repairs which I could care less about as long as the chassis was good.
I striped it down and put a new deck on. I had some vinyl realtree graphics that I had laying around so I added them to the fenders which I think worked out well. Very happy with this little guy.
I'm having the iron workers at my jobmake me up a few lightweight side rails that will have a 22 degree bend in them to accommodate the tires that slightly hang over the edge and will incorporate some tie down points as well.
