Airbox is getting oil in it from crankcase vent, the engine has 2 cups of oil when I drain it. I drained it out put it back in the reservoir, prime it start it up after a few minutes it starts spitting oil out?

My first thought would be ring blow by but that sounds like to much oil for that, i would check the crankcase vent and make sure its not stopped up there is something causing it to build up too much pressure in the crankcase.

All Polaris hold 2 quarts of oil. If you have only been putting 2 cups (16 oz) when you change your oil, you have problem.

Check exhaust valve to see if it's set to spec.

Check exhaust pipe to make sure something is not blocking exhaust. People like to pull tricks.

Run a compression test on cylinder, no throttle then wide-open throttle.

I wondered about that when you told me 2 cups, i dont work on Polaris so i wasnt sure. So you check the oil at the holding tank and then it goes into engine when running,  That sounds like the way the old Harleys worked. I  didnt know they used that type oiling system. On the old Harleys i understood because no matter how much oil you put in half would leak out.

I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this UTV.  When I turn the switch to on, the contractor does not engage.  The Brake pressure switch and the parking brake switches work correctly. What else should I be looking for?  All of the diagrams I have found are for newer models and the wire color coding is different.

      Thanks

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks

As the title says, I've got a crankcase full of fuel / oil to deal with and figure I'll just start from the top and move through the system.  Going to start with a rebuild of the petcock and then the carb if the problem isn't fixed with the petcock rebuild.  I figure I'll go with a Moose kit unless others with experience recommend another brand (All Balls, etc.)
      Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.
