So.. it a weird one.. The quad surges as you go down the road. By the looks of my tracks, it's one wheel only. High range, low range, 2 wd , 4 wd.. It just doesn't matter..
You can see in the pictures the marks it leaves. That was in a straight line, with hardly any acceleration.
Any ideas?

Hi Everyone!
Recently, I could no longer start my Arctic Cat using the green starter button.
Initially, the response was intermittant (sometimes it would start and other times in wouldn't).
Finally, I get no response or sound by pressing the green button.
I'm trying desperately to trace the wires from the green button but can't seem to follow.
I took the button apart and cleaned the contacts but no difference (yet my instruments indicate contacts are OK).
I inserted an image to show the wiring colors going into the green switch.
I'm still able to start the machine by using a long screwdriver to short the starter.
I'm hoping someone can help me find a possible break in the wiring or any other cause.
Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help me!

Does anyone know what year they stopped producing the King Quad 300? - particularly in Australia and New Zealand
What were the design changes?

I was wondering if anyone thought it would be useful, and whether it is possible, that each post in a thread gets numbered.
I find myself in cross thread conversations, and it would be real handy to be able to refer someone to another thread, and a specific post in that thread, by number.

Ok, I'm not trying to start an out of control thread, however I am interested in how often and what products you use for oil changes. On all my vehicles I change oil at least as often as recommended by the manufacturer and use the recommended products or better. That is where the debate should get interesting. On my '20 Polaris 850, I use the Polaris recommended oil and filter and change once a year or more often depending on hours of operation. In my trucks, I use Mobil full synthetic until I get them over 100K then I'll use a blend or high mileage oil--Valvoline or Mobil or NAPA. Since I'm in NM Montana I use 0W20 to 5W30.
Would like to hear what you're using.
