Howdy yall! Ive had my 96 king quad for some time now and im starting to want to build it up as much as i can, so i figured start with my tires as its getting about time to change them out(plugs galore and minimal tread).

As its a 4x4, I keep hearing different things from my other ATV friends like i have to keep stock dimensions, others say i can go bigger proprtionally, have all tires the same dimensions, etc. Am i gonna screw my tranny up if i dont keep em stock? Id definetly like a tire with alot more tread depth more suited to mudding/trail riding, just dont know to much about ATVs just yet to decide what to do. Lil help please?

I say stay with the stock size, but use any aftermarket tires. The bigger the tire and heavier the more power loss . Also without a lift you don't gain much ground clearance.

The KingQuad 300 is one of the toughest atv's ever built. I have a friend who owns 3 of them. Very inpressive offroad abilities.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.

Hi all. I have a timberwolf 250 2nd that will not start.. I thought it was out of time bc the guy I got it from said it just quit on him. The tensioner had a nut welded to it and it was like2 teeth off. I installed new tensioner and chain and it still will not start. It has fire and it will not hit off brake cleaner. It has compression. Haven't put a gauge but I'm sure it will crank and run with what it has. I double checked my work and it's still in time. Spot on. Both valves move. I'm about to put a feeler gauge on them and I'll cone back but other than that any ideas?

Just some friendly advice on new tires. Check with your ATV dealer.
There are so many aftermarket sites, Revco, Royal Distributing, Partzilla, and on and on. Even with their “ big sales”, my local Canam dealer’s REGULAR price beat the tire prices of the 3rd party sellers! People often assume the Dealership will cost them more, but I found this not to be true!
