Hi,

I am looking for a decent of tires for mostly rocky terrain. Any suggestions?

I am considering the ITP's and the Longhorns.

I have a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 with stock rims.

I blew holes in the sidewalls of two of the stock tires so I figure I better just get new ones.

Thanks.

Here's the one's I am looking at. The next question is how do I know what size to get?

Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 - ATV Direct - ATV Tires and More - www.4atvtires.com

The existing tires are as follows:

Front: AT24x10x11

Rear: AT24x8x12

The only sizes in the BigHorns are:

25x10x12

25x8x12

Will these work on the existing rims? Thanks.

You will only be able to put 12" tires on the rear... your front rims are 11"

Have you looked here: Maxxis Bighorn » QUADCRAZY ATV Parts and Outdoor Gear

Kenda BearClaws are an awesome tire for a 4x4 quad. Stay with stock size. My uncle runs them on his 04 Rancher, he has about 1200 miles on them. With about half tread left. He rides on roads and rocky Kentucky terrain. Alot of people in Kentucky run them . All around good tire. Ran them on my Ozark for 3 years to.

the good thing is that its a 6ply tire u wont be worrying bout popping holes in the side walls like ur stockers which were probably a low rated ply right?
Also have bead protecters built in. Roofing nail was the only hole I ever had in them.

Do they come sized for an 11" rim?
To answer your question Bot, yes they do. Along with Mudlites and AMS tires, the Kenda BearClaw has one of the greatest tire selections for utility quads on the face of this planet.

I'm impressed. I know what Kenda is all about...high quality on a budget. I use Kendas on my dirt bikes. Never knew that they had 11" though. Thanks BB
Just glad I could share what little knowledge I have.:smilielol5c:

Yes, that will make all the difference in the world. I think the stock tires are only 2-ply.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage
