Yamaha Rhino rims/tires on Eiger???

Hello Everybody,

I just bought a 2003 Suzuki Eiger 4x4 semi-auto last weekend. It is my first ATV so I didn't spend a ridiculous amount of money on it. I need new rims and tires and I'm wondering if the rims/tires from a Yamaha Rhino will fit on my Eiger .

From researching I found out that both models use tires that are 25x8x12 for the fronts and 25x10x12 in the rear. For the rims they both have a 4/110 lug pattern and seem to have a 12x7 wheel size and width.

If anyone could help me out with this I'd really appreciate it...I don't want to buy these rims/tires and get them home to find out they won't fit .

Yes, as long as the bolt pattern matches you are good.

Just make sure before you ride to make sure the Rhino rims do not drag anywhrere on you Eiger. Worse comes to worse you can put the rhino tires on the Eiger rims.

Is $200 a good price for a used set of rims and tires?

The rims look like they are in really good condition and the tires apparently have barely been used.

You would be hard press to find new tires that cheep. I say you are getting a steel for tires and rims for $200 .

I own a Rhino myself, the tires are decent and the rims are even better. They are very strong, I sold my stock rims for 25 a piece. So add another 25 for a tire...good deal.

Sounds like a good deal. I would just make sure like BB said that you have no rubbing anywhere. Congratulations on the quad. I know you will enjoy it.

By chance has anyone used Rhino rims on an Eiger?

Or, could someone do a quick double check on my research to make sure the rims will fit - It's all new to me, haha...

Three last things:

- The main reason I'm buying new rims/tires is b/c the ones that came on the Eiger have dents...I've read that this only matters when you're going pretty fast on pavement. Is this true?

- The Eiger is really pulling to the left when I take off...Is this affected by the rims being dented or do you think it needs a wheel alignment?

- Can I do any damage to the quad by having the rims dented if they are not rubbing anywhere?

Keep an eye open on craigslist/ebay. You could even try Yamaha Rhino Forum - Rhino Forums.net The people on there spend gobs of money on their machines. Stock wheels/rims are readily available. I don't see how the rhino rims would rub on anything. The offset is probably the same.

If the air pressure in the tires is not the same on both sides that could cause it to pull to one side. It would have to be one gnarly dent in the rim to effect your straight line. Alignment is a definite possibility, it gets out of whack over time.

Only one of the rims is dented - and it's only the little curved part that isn't even touching the tire - so it should be alright for now at least.

Yes you will be fine as long as the bead is still set.

The bead was still set on this, the sidewall ripped. We got hit by dirtbike. The rim still works.
