There should be 4 bolts on top of the rear swing arm loosen all 4 then there are 2 studs with nuts on them on the back of the swingarm if you loosen them it will then allow you to pull the axle back towards you wich will tighten the chain, once you have it adjusted to where you want it just tighten the 4 bolts on top of the swingarm and you are ready to ride. Really it is pretty simple you just want to make sure when loosening the nuts on the 2 studs you do so equally so that the axle is not offset to one side anyhow hope this helps!

I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi. I just bought an lt230 1993.  Ive started buying parts for a full rebuild.  But somehow beskepedal has been removed and pegs welded to where They are supposed to be screwed.    I was wondering if anyone have one and Could measure how far out the pegs are.  Like the peg the brake is put on and then peg outside of it.  And the one lower down.  So i can recreate them.
