I have a Yamaha beartracker 250 that I can’t seem to get running right
i am after replacing the spark plug, carburettor, and the carb boot to the engine when she starts she revs up like mad even when the mixture screw on the carb is fully in when running she pops and stalls and won’t rev up
has anybody have any idea what could be wrong with it thanks
I'm new here, so I would like to say "Hello" to everyone and hopefully, someone will be able to point me in the right direction to troubleshoot an issue. Last night I was riding and all of a sudden ATV lost power and shut down. I was able to get it shifted back down to neutral and tried to restart it. Neutral light on, engine cranks, but it will not start. I haven't really looked at it yet to attempt dieagnoses, since it was getting dark and needed to get it pulled back to garage. Any Idea's of where I should start troubleshooting?? Thanks for any and all help!
When I turn my key on the neutral light doesn't come on. I can jump the starter relay and it comes turns the starter but it won't start. The sky blue wire is connected. New battery, start button, cdi box, starter relay, sparkplug, sparkplug cable, rectifier and regulator, and new key.
I tested the tps and I'm getting 4.28v at closed throttle and goes down to 1v or so full throttle. I can't find a service manual does anyone know if 4.28v is close to correct
Im fixing up a beartracker 250. Starts right up with screwdriver to both solenoid terminals and pull start. Doesnt start at all with electric start button. Neutral light and reverse light come on when the atv is running but when it is off and the key is turned to on position, no lights come on. When button is pressed to start, nothing happens. No click in solenoid, nothing. Not too experienced with the electrical components but I have tested a few things. The Front stop switch assembly cable was broken so I replaced that hoping it would fix my electrical problem to the key bevel but still nothing.
