HEY ALL, NEW TO THE SITE..MY POLARIS XPLORER 400 REAR BRAKES WONT WORK...JUST FILLED WITH FLUID BUT STILL NOTHING...I PURCHASED THE QUAD USED RECENTLY AND GOT A DECENT DEAL ON IT... I OPENED UP THE BRAKE FLUID RESEVOIR AND REALIZED IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. WHEN i RODE IT I REALIZED THAT THE FOOT PEDAL HAD ABSOLUTELY NO FUNCTION AT ALL. YOU CAN PUSH IT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD AND THE QUAD STILL DOESNT EVEN THINK OF SLOWING DOWN. IM THINKING PADS BUT NOT ENTIRLY SURE JUST THOUGHT ID GET ANOTHER OPINION...THANKS IN ADVANCE

Brakes need to be bled, get a cheap brake bleeder kit from a place like harbor frieght, it will make the process much easier. I made my own vacuum bleeder with a meat injector syringe and a piece of fuel hose. This kit will work well, but I think they have less expensive ones. Or, you could just do it the old fashioned way and pump the brake pedal, hold it and open the bleeder nut, and repeat, over and over and over and over........

all brakes work off the one handle bar lever (at least on 2001/2002). my foot lever has never worked either and I bought mine new in 2001. If the rear brake does not work when you squeeze the handlebar brake lever then your piston must be stuck.

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.

Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.
