Are you sure that you are using the correct amount of torque to tighten down the bolts? Are you sure you are tightening in the proper sequence? If you have done everything correctly, you may want to check the top of the cylinder to make sure it is flat too. Having to replace the first head gasket on a machine that new is odd to me. Makes me think there is some kind of manufactured flaw.

I torqed them to spec. I did not know they had a sequence though. Is there a web site that has all that? I'll check the cylinder while I have it down. Thanks for the input man. Anything helps

I would recommend getting a repair manual or at least calling a dealer tech and finding out the order. I imagine there are only four bolts so the pattern is probably just a criss cross, but Yamaha may specify a specific starteing point for some reason. There may also be several steps as well, for example on the first time around you may torque the bolts to 25 ft/lb and gradually increase the torque over several passes untill you reach the final specified setting.

I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing

      Hello All,
I have a 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 trying to get fixed up so my grandson can go out in the woods with me.
We have owned it over 10 years.  It got harder to start, until it finally would not.  Replaced the carb.  Right afterwards, it started and ran nicely, but after turning it off, would not restart.  Tonight I used starting fluid and ran, then died.  Adjusted the idle up a little, used more starting fluid and ran great.  It idled about 15 minutes.  Turned it off, and restarted.  Ran it around the yard about 5 minutes.  Turned it off, and would not restart.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
      Thank you.

I have a Polaris Xplorer 250 4x4. It's a great quad, ran without issue until I noticed the fuel valve was slowly dripping gas. Ordered a new one, easy enough to replace, but now it won't start! I put the old one back on to see if it was an issue with the new petcock, and it still wouldn't start (it was running fine 15 minutes earlier). Engine just cranks and cranks. Any insight would be helpful.

I was thinking its bad gas but it wont run for longer period even using starting fluid, so I'm thinking fuel starved. Injector? I heard the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump, which sounds like a terrible idea. I have read a few reviews saying its a common symptom of a plugged injector. I have my air intake box off and beneath it is the injector I think. But what do I need to remove to get to it? I dont want to just start pulling stuff off the top of the motor.
Couldnt locate a you tube vid that actually shows an injector removal.
      Any help out there.

So I have a 2001 Kawasaki prairie 300 I could not find tough country snow plow... it's a older plow too boot... so I made the plow mount and updated the plow with some skids.
Mount plate is 1/4 steel plate and so are the pin points
The skids are off a moose plow. I got some plumbing black pipe for holders to weld to the blade and braced it with pieces left over from the plow mount 1/4 steel...
      1/4 plate cost $45
      Skids cost $24
U bolts and other hardware where $20
      I got the blade free
