My rear brake linkage become embedded with mud and burned out the rear wet brakes in the differential. I have found the replacement parts but was wondering if anyone has removed the rear differential and can provide some tips. Yes I am sure the plates are shot.

Thanks

My best advice would be to buy a repair manual. On a newer model like that, your only option may be a factory manual, which are a bit spendy. Other than that look up your model on an online parts fische and you can see an exploded view of the rear suspension and the rear diff itself. That may help in the disassembly and more likely help when you go to put things back together. But without the manual, you will have no torque specs or sequences that are needed to properly re assemble the machine.

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.

I’m looking for a top end kit for a Yamaha. I would like to see how well the engine runs before spending $6-$7 hundred on oem. Niche has complete kits from $1-$2 hundred.  Anyone have experience with Niche or similar Chinese companies?

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

Hello, what is the best method for installing bearings into their race? I've set one in place and tapped it down until it was metal on metal. Is that sufficient? Surely it's not supposed to go into the race until flush? Also. does the coil spring on the seal go into carrier bearing housing not facing out? Thanks! 🙂 Seal goes in until flush correct?
