Hmmm Swiss 31 caliber??  The Swiss 31 was a Rim fired cartridge.  I have an unfired Swiss 31 in my collection.

Herewith is a pic with a 22wmagnum for compassion

LOL...No the description of "Cock"  was in reference to the traditional term to prepare to fire...from old English as I recall "to make Ready"...

The worse thing about English and worse yet American English is understanding the idiomatic expressions..   So yes I can understand.

Wow you have a nice weapon...it has a good reputation.

Sorry.... The translator tell me the right sense...to late...."maudit français". there was no joke....

I don't shoot with the beretta as i need and want. In my country, it's is difficult to access a shooting range, even with a hunting licence. Perhaps this year, i will test the new mauser M25.

Of my Old military Rifles my favorite is my M1 Garand.  I have two.  One is missing some pieces. But i love my 6.5 Carcano.  That rifle was in continued service for 100 years  by Italians and Japan!  I have the paratrooper version not the rifle like Oswald used.  Herewith is an internet pic of the Carcano para troop.  Check out the ammo.  The newly released documents show Oswald used the military ball ammo as pictured...OMG

Interesting...I bought it from a collection a lady was selling. .357 mag Italian.  Her husband  RIP    was into "cowboy Shooting " at gun range.

Note Cowboy shooting is a set of walk through animated targets with shooter armed with single six revolver and traditional western quick draw holster.

Unfortunately the barrel has a divot in it as if some one tried to jam a rod in it to remove an misfired round.

I'll look  when i am back at my safe.

Here is my shot gun collection.  the Sam Walto 12 ga auto, above that is my Remingto 12  ga 3.5 inch magnum (Russian Bakai).

Stevens 16 ga double and Winchester 1300.

But the top gun is my Chinese SKS 7.62 x 39.  I replaced the stock with the one shown to have a removable clip instead of the standard stripper clip used with the SKS.  Magazine could be 10 rds.

NOW...the secret service just released details of the Florida Trump assination attempt.  They said that guy had a Chinese SKS...OMG That did not make sense.

I mean it's a good shooter short range < 100yards.  but if he had the AK version ...30 rd. clip.

The Chishotgunjen.thumb.png.652df57aeb3027abbc2e62c4b692495b.pngnese version has a short stock to fit Chinese.

BTW The Bakai is sweet and can go from 3 inch down to high brass without a problem. It has an energy absorbing plastic stock.

Here is my Garand that i am building. The bolt and new barrel were assembled and head spaced set when i got the barrel from the CMP. Still missing some small stock pieces.  garand.thumb.jpg.6732785049f7116a71a28e43df1fb08e.jpg

There are two stores if you want to go to pick up guns "orderd". one is OHIO Sandusky area  as I recall and another here in Alabama.

You must be a member of a shooting club range .

In my bed picture of small arms you can see The Hi Standard .22 w mag derringer.  It is actually is very practical.   I carry it in a pouch on a strap across my chest when hiking loaded with 22 mag shot shells in it.  At 24 inches it throws a 3 inch pattern of shot. That's perfect for pit vipers.

Was wondering if any of you have tried the Vnsh belly band holster. I love mine, it’s really comfortable. Allows you to carry concealed with shorts that have no belts. When I wear mine I have already adjusted the strap to fit me. I put it on and position it where I want it, pull the elastic band of the shorts up over the bottom of holster and shirt over the top. My ccw is a Glock model 22. If you get a chance try one out ad see what you think. Some more of my weapons are Japanese 7.7, JTS 12 Ak Glock model 19, a cheap .38 special, Savage .300 win mag. Savage 110 .308, Stephen’s double barrel 16 ga. Shotgun, Remington 870 express. Rossi .22 LR. A couple of single shot 16 ga. A cross bow. I love firearms hunting and fishing, I love the outdoors, used to camp and hike a lot but I’m disabled now and the hiking is over now.

Yep I have one like that.  I sweat a lot ...sorry i just do...I cannot wear it in Florida.  Its OK up north.  However, I have a shoulder holster that is all day confortable and nice when fishing.    But in Fla I don't wear enough clothes for the shoulder holster or the belly band.

Men have the advantage of untucked shirts and a belt clip or belt holsters..I have a couple. Women have the advantage of the purse holster.. My panty holster is not noticeable in jeans ..Not Yoga pants LOL...but its fairly quick to access.   I hope i never use it.

Tartanpion was looking at a Black powder revolver....herewith is a pic of my Pietta.  It has been shot a lot because it is a lot of fun .

I use the powder flask with a calibrated spout for  pistol loading.  The cap holder is handy as the nipples on the Pietta are recessed of course.

This reproduction is a Navy Revolver,  the 'New Navy Revolver has a frame that covers the cylinder on the top.   My under standing I'm not an expert.

Just hang out with the guys at the range and listen...LOL

There is a ball extractor shown ...I never use that.  Air compressor will take a ball out... But Damn, be careful that ball will shoot out and dent Granma's freezer in the garage.

My two BP rifles.  The top is a Traditions ‘Inline ‘ that uses a shotgun primer.   I have a scope for it.

The bottom is my favorite. It is easy to take apart and clean.   It is Connecticut Valley arms,  AKA CVA, made in Spain.  Both are .50 caliber.

On the leather beside the CVA is a small nipple from the CVA. Also, Nipple wrenches.

I changed out the small nipple for large nipple that takes a ‘Musket Cap”   I like the large nipples as they put out a lot of fire to get things moving.

Notice the Nipple Pick …essential little tool.

Sadly, I have never hilled Bambi…Lord knows I have tried.

With the small nipple in the CVA I was on a frozen creek up against the roots of a Sycamore.

Bambi came stomping through the chest high dead weeds like he was on patrol.

He must have 8 big points standing broad side with his head up looking away from me.  I mean maybe 25 yards.

“Papp” went the CVA…WTH ..primer fired but no KA>>BAMM! …

The guys at the range said always fire the gun with a primer and the gun  unloaded before you hunt to clear the nipple.

BTW..Webster dictionary only has one definition for the word Nipple.  And it has nothing to do with Pipe fittings, Black powder rifles or other mechanical things.   It’s definitely a guy terminology thing… But WTH …LOL

Just hang out with the guys and “listen” what a woman. You have quite the arsenal. I couldn’t imagine shooting the old flint locks with the flash pan, talk about smoke. I have a .308 and a .300 win mag for deer hunting. A lot of people say the .300 win mag is too much for white tail deer, but I like it if you hit it it’s going down and no long blood trails. I may eventually get a black powder rifle just so I can hunt that part of the season too.

Hi guys, I have a 2004 big bear 400. Last winter while plowing the driveway, I heard a loud pop from the left side of the engine. It continued to run as I looked for leaky fluid, but then died shortly after backing it up and won’t start now. The oil light comes on when I try to start it, no noise or anything else.
No blown fuses that I can find.
