1989 Honda 4Trax key lost

Sorry if this post is repeated but I could not find any search feature on this forum to look for an answer to my dilemma.

After 22 years, I finally lost my 2nd key to my 4 wheeler and I am jumping thru hoops to try to get another key made. The wiring diagram looks simple enough. Does anybody know if it is as simple as hooking those wires up to a toggle switch DPST? The wires seem to go into

a connector box that the manual says is where you are suppose to disconnect the wires. However, it appears as though I would need to remove the front fender and rack to get at this connector box. Thats not going to happen. Every bolt is rusted tight. So that is what led me to think about just a couple of switches. Not worried about security, just getting it running so I can use it for hunting again. Please help!

      Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
      Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
      I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

      Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum.
      I have been riding quads for the last 20 years, however my quads are extremely old and outdated, all three are about 20 years old LOL.
      I have been looking at upgrading, but need your input.
      I've narrowed it down to the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 S or the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 EPS

      So now this "new to me" Kowhockey has ANOTHER problem. Replacing the rectifier cured the charging problem, rode around for a while, Yahoo!.. but this morning it wouldn't start, hmm 🤔 checking for spark, nuttin.. CDI igniter module bad. It's not the coil because when the key is turned off the spark knocks me down. Glad I got this old quad cheap because I'm replacing lots of electrical parts. Also found 3 blown fuses in the toolkit. 😭

      I bought this from a buddy to plow snow up in the North Eastern Washington- its been getting oil in the water and I've been changing the oil often and adding collant as necessary-
      I've taken the stator cover off and I'm looking at the Oil Seal and water pump seal and they look good- Although I've ordered a factory oil Seal I'm looking at putting it in this afternoon-
      I don't have the factory service manual- am I suppose to Add RTV to the Stator cover Gasket? I've seen some folks suggest grease other suggest RTV?

      Any suggestions here- I'm trying to reassemble it tonight- I looked at downloading the manual but need to get up to 10 posts firsts it looks like-

      I appreciate any suggestions- normally I'm a jeep and honda dirt bike guy- but  I got a good deal on the quad and a plow so I went for it
      Its got a bit over 3K and runs pretty good- but I've had her tore apart for 3 weeks to figure out the oil in the coolant issue.
