A friend from Finland (Miika), who lives in the states (Kansas) working for his company, was in Utah visiting family for the holidays & brought his Can-Am 800 Max XT & his Trek 3.0 tracks to do a little track'in with me ... :drivingc:

I missed the first planned date because of my power steering failure a few days before that ride. BUT ... my dealer got my bike back to me pretty quick so on the 28th we went for a little ride in the snow .... in what little snow I have around here ... :toetap05c:

It was a great day ... we only saw three other peeps ... and two of those where pull'in into the staging area as we were pull'in out :partyc:

We had a little sun, a little snow, lots of wind, clouds, fog, lots of fresh untracked snow .... and the entire mountains to ourselves for most the day !! :woot:

Here's the video I put together from the days ride ... .... I hope ya all enjoy it !! ....... And if it doesn't snow soon ... I may not be track'in much longer this season ... :dammit:

I just bought my 1st quad. An 86 Moto 4 225. It is for a small engine class that I am teaching in January.

I've got a 1995 220 Bayou and the electric start does not work.  When I got it the machine was pretty rough but I was told it ran less than a year ago.  The key switch had been cut off and wires  twisted after the key was lost.  I bought a new ignition switch and repaired the wiring and it is working correctly.  It is in neutral and the neutral light is on when the key is turned on but I get nothing when pressing the start button.  I verified there is no voltage going to the starter from the solenoid.  The fuse in the solenoid is good.  Something I found that is odd is that I get positive voltage(12 volts) to the brown, black, and white wires that run into the solenoid when the key is on.  That doesn't make sense to me but I could be wrong.  I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance.

I bought this from a buddy to plow snow up in the North Eastern Washington- its been getting oil in the water and I've been changing the oil often and adding collant as necessary-
I've taken the stator cover off and I'm looking at the Oil Seal and water pump seal and they look good- Although I've ordered a factory oil Seal I'm looking at putting it in this afternoon-
I don't have the factory service manual- am I suppose to Add RTV to the Stator cover Gasket? I've seen some folks suggest grease other suggest RTV?

Any suggestions here- I'm trying to reassemble it tonight- I looked at downloading the manual but need to get up to 10 posts firsts it looks like-

I appreciate any suggestions- normally I'm a jeep and honda dirt bike guy- but  I got a good deal on the quad and a plow so I went for it
Its got a bit over 3K and runs pretty good- but I've had her tore apart for 3 weeks to figure out the oil in the coolant issue.
