The jug- scuffed non feel deep but only measuring will tell I'd be happy to keep the stock 66mm bore if at all possible!

The crank, I was able to squeeze a .021 feeler gauge in between the thrust washer and the rod at the big end sooo.... that is within spec on the higher side but in spec, no up and down play at all, seems like bottom end crank is good that's a plus!

More yet- no way if only the wife new i'm spending the tax return check all on this SHHHH don't tell her!

More parts this time super cheap! Local dealer going out of buisness gave me 40-50% of everything!

There is piviot works- swinger pivot bearing kit, lower a-arm kit, then moose racing lower a-arm kit and rear axle kit, and my favorite degreaser cleaner! all for $87 and change normally would of cost $160!

yes the header is used but the rest is spanking new!

Decided since I found a super deal on these rappy250 pegs, 10 bucks, I figured I'd be different than just double pegs! I also wanted to keep the holes for mounting the heel guards the same as the stockers, well turns out the holes line up perfectly, should of figured this since alot of guys have put 450/rappy heel gaurds on.

Easy to do and the rappy ones are almost twice as wide as the little 1" stockers!

First cut off the rappy pegs at the mount-

dd56bdff.jpg

Then remove the front piece that is higher than the pegs ( i call it a foot keeper)-

fb49ec61.jpg

Then the back top piece that was welded on the rappy mount or the peg wont slide over the stocker.

Now ya have to grind the welds down on the middle of the stock pegs som the holes line up!

4dada07b.jpg

Line the holes up- center the stock peg buy using washers and bsnug it up for welding!

c9b6f96b.jpg

Weld it up and bam ya have some double wide peg mounts that use the stock heel guard bolt location!

Welded up and worked out awesome!

Motor back from KOR! Looks awesome! I:I I had Ken go through the bottom end, rebuild with a +3 stroker as I really liked my son's. Lightened flywheel & balancer! The porting was done by James SCD racing with triple exhaust ports, and a raised boost port lowered windows. Can't wait to get this project togther!

The banshee petcock (i like saying that word!)

76dfc37a.jpg

Body armor- this is 3/4" HDPE sheet, even have some left over to make chain sliders! The larger hole is to drain the fluid! The others are to drain any mud/water sh**! I had to make it a two piece as it wouldn't bend enough! I am bolting on to the mounts I made and welded nuts on those mounts!

And the tail/brake light-

I'll get some aluminum welding going the next couple days

6061 mandrel bent aluminum tube 3/16 thick-

My new adjustable stator with 75W light coil- as the one that came with the quad was in such bad shape I didn't want to use it!

The reducer silicone boot and clamps for carb!

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!
