2000 Arctic cat 500 4x4

Hi every one new to this forum i have a problem with starting it idles ok but as soon as you open the throttle it dies i do not have a manual yet only hand book can anybody help it has been running fine up and till know

I would check to make sure the choke is working properly and not stuck open. Also make sure the ATV is warmed up before you try and drive off. If those two do not help I would say check make sure the airbox is not blocked and the gas is good. Cleaning the carb would be a last resort.

the hand book talks about float bowl drain is it the pipe wth a philips head screw held up by a clip
