2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4 - Carb Overflowing

I have a 2000 big bear 400 4x4 that i just installed a snorkel on and now the carb. is putting gas out thru the overflow hose on the bottom it quits when i throttle up the engine a lil bit but starts again when it returns to an idle .

It was running just fine before i hooked the snorkel up on it any ideas as to why this is and how to stop it

did you change the jetting in the carb with the addition of the snorkel?

no i didnt do you know what size jetting to go with

Your float needle is not seating properly it is a small cylinder with a black rubber tip on the end of it. It is hooked to the floats with a wire loop. When the floats rise up they push the needle float closed and that stops the gasoline coming in from the tank. Sometimes you can tap on the side of the float bowl with a rubber hammer and that will seat the needle float otherwise you are going to have to take the float bowl apart and make sure it is connected properly.
