2000 Kawasaki KVF Prairie 300 - 50% Throttle

Recommended Posts

Hello,

the machine has no throttle response after appx 50% application. The throttle leaver has full range of motion, it doesn't bog down when I give it gas, it doesn't sputter, it's as if I'm holding the throttle at a static position even if I press it all the way. It will go faster if I go downhill, and of course slow down going uphill. The bike was riding fine, I was going slow down some rocky declines until it flattened out, and when I tried to give it gas to accelerate the mentioned problem happened. The Air filter is fine, the breather tube from the tank isn't clogged or crimped. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

2022 Sector 550, 414 miles on it and the gas gauge reads empty.  I topped off the gas and it didn't change.
There is no fuse that I could find.  No access at the gauge cluster.
Wiring on the top of the tank looks good, properly connected.
Could the sending unit in the tank be stuck or broken?
Has anybody removed the tank lid?  Any tricks?
      Any other ideas?
      Thanks for any help,
      Clyde

Bucking started about a month ago and works ok after 1/2 hour warmup.  Today while working on it i discovered that if i put the ignition switch in LIGHT position it runs fine right from the start.
I'm stumped!  Any idea why this could be?

I just bought two 2002 Suzuki LT80K. Do I need to mix the gas or use straight unleaded?

Hey all back again with my 1989 moto 4 250.
After putting a new carb on it it's really sputtery, it has new gas and I'm wondering what to tune on the carb to make it idle better. I've attached a video to describe the issue more. The bike is still work in progress but I think the video gets the point across. Thanks!
