I installed 2 driving lights on the front of my 2012 300 Brute Force, My dad was walking by ,and added a comment " Better Watch it " you'll find yourself stranded. They are grounded , and the pwr wire goes thru a 2-pole simple switch.... on/off . I tapped into my cigerette lighter. Will that be a problem in the future it has a inline fuse. Does anyone think that adding a relay would be better than how i have installed it now ??? Comments would be appreciated !! Thanks All !!

Yep got a inline fuse. Just wanted to keep the switching simple, thats why i used the two pole switch. My winch when they installed it tapped into the cig. lighter as well. But i gotcha dont use cig. lighter when running lights, dont use winch with lights on ,,, and so on. One more question i can use my regular headlights on the atv when running the driving lights , can't i ? I would think it would be ok, since the only thing pulling is driving lights !!

I have to replace all 4, how much is involved?  Will they slide out of the front yoke? Or, do the boots just slide over the wheel end?

Bucking started about a month ago and works ok after 1/2 hour warmup.  Today while working on it i discovered that if i put the ignition switch in LIGHT position it runs fine right from the start.
I'm stumped!  Any idea why this could be?

Has anyone had any luck converting an older quad from a 7 wire CDI to the newer (and cheaper) 5 wire CDI?

I have a 1988 Suzuki Quadrunner and I believe the CDI is on it's way out...🤦🏼‍♂️ A used CDI from 1988 goes for $250-$300 on the bay...and that's when you find them. The Chinese CDIs for the 1990 and up quadrunner are only about $40. I have read a blog from a guy who says it's possible and that 2 of the wires can be omitted if the rectifier is a newer one also. Any experience with this would be greatly appreciated!!!🤙

I've been trying to piece this Lakota 300 back together, slowly. It's been a rabbit hole however. I replace one thing, then it leads to replacing other things. Anyway, When I got this thing I noticed that the hose coming off the camshaft cover wasn't attached to anything, it was just hanging loose. (It's literally just a foot long hose attached to nothing) I figured since it was venting the head it would be ok and I am sure it is.
However, last night I was looking at the service manual and noticed that it mentioned that this atv has a crankcase breather tube as well. Mine does not have one, so I looked at Partzilla and looked at the parts diagram and sure enough, it's definitely supposed to have one. The problem however is, the service manual does not show how it hooks up and the parts diagram only shows the exploded view of the assembly. I just find that kind of strange, nowhere in the manual does it show how it connects. Does it have it connector, attach to a nipple? It just doesn't say and it bothers me that there is a hole there without anything attached to it.  If anyone has a Bayou 300 or Lakota 300 with an intact breather vent system and could possibly take some clear photos of it or know how it connects I would be very grateful. I have searched high and low and cannot find any information on it.

      Thanks
