Just got a used Susuki 300 (2000) and am goin' through it changin' the fluids and filters.

Can't seem to find a fuel filter, does it have one and if so, where is it?

if you dont see a filter on/in the fuel line going frm the tank to the carb then it dosent have 1 ... there should be a screen in the tank on the fuel stem that is on the inside of the tank ware the fuel line go's into the tank .. r on the fuel shut off if its mounted to the tank ... if you want a filter you can add 1 inline between the tank and carb...

Picked up a barn find that someone had already partially disassembled because the “motor locked up” but they never opened the case. Everything was bagged and labeled, and as I’ve mentioned before- I love a challenge ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After a couple hours of fun with various pullers and hammers I managed to persuade the magneto/flywheel to come off. Hoo boy what a mess. Then I found an actual rats nest in the clutch cover. ಠ_ಠ

I recently was gifted a 1998 Lakota 300 and it was modified to start only by electric start. ( Removed the pull start) So I put together all the parts he was able to find and I believe it's back together like it's supposed to be but when I start it via electric start, it turns over but I do not hear the sound a proper combustion sound makes. Furthermore, I did all the spark tests and it's showing none whatsoever.
I installed a new starter and I believe I installed it correctly. Could I have accidentally thrown the timing off? I lined up the timing marks but the top mark will NOT line up correctly.

Do not know what else I need to attach the pull start to this machine. I have the pulley but nothing to attach it with. Could you help with what else I need. It's a 1999 Lakota 300
