oxidized_black Posted January 17, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 17, 2013 looking abit online, causes might have been bad set of rings or not seated yet, honing done but not cross hatched, or wrong size piston or rings ???
b1jackson Posted January 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2013 Rings installed incorrectly, stuck valve or yeh....incorrect honing. Had that happen to me with a scooter motor rebuild. Had to disassemble and rehone. Also if you are using a compression tester, make sure you have some oil on the cylinder wall. A little squirt down the plug hole
Mudflap64 Posted January 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 18, 2013 If it's a 2 stroke......make sure the piston isn't rotataed 180 degrees. Mist 2 strokes the piston has to be clocked correctly to line up the ports.......some 4 strokes require that too, but not for port alignment. marioweldinginc Posted January 19, 2013 Share #5 Posted January 19, 2013 Moto4 200 are air cooled 4 strokes. Make sure the starting decompressor isnt stuck open. I have an 86 moto4 200 that had a stuck open decompressor. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk
