Okay so I need a little help

just picked up a brand new 2012 yfz450 carb model

being that it was a left over I thought my cutting out issue was bad fuel

but even after draining the tank and putting fresh gas in it

after riding for about 20-30 min in the trails

if I hit the throttle wide open it cuts out bad (doesn't die though)

it won't even climb hills

and the one time it was so bad my buddy beat me on a stock 300ex

my yfz is completely stock

no mods at all and I have tried taking it back to dealer

but since it mainly is after some trail riding

they can not replicate the problem

someone plz help

I've only been able to ride this for one tank

of gas being its running like chit and have to turn home at big hills my buddys chit quads climb right up

I had the same issue and took it to the dealer multiple times and they also couldn't replicate the issue. The solution I found was to take off the Air Box cover...the issue is that there isn't enough air. If that works then you can purchse a different filter like a bolt on one that doesn't require the air box cover. I can find the one I got and if that helps, but try to take the air box cover off and see if that does the trick. Good luck!

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

As the 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, got underway with back-to-back Florida AMA Pro only events, it was evident that Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick picked up where he left off last season.View the full article

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!
