I have a warrior that isn't getting any spark, starter turns over fine tho. Tried using a jump kit because the battery was junk and nothing, if it pull behind my truck I can get it to fire and run for a few min then it dies. It seems to run fine for those few minutes. I put a new spark plug in it and still nothing, can't see any wires that are bad. I tested the orange wire going to coil and no voltage to that. Fuse under seat is good Could it be the stator? Or CID box? Don't know how to test them and don't want to spend a ton of $ if I don't have to.

Hi and thanks for the welcome, I will check out that page. I already asked around and couldn't find anyone with same bike. It will now stay running after I jump it by pulling it, and if I hook jump pack up to it right after it will start but will only do that for a few min. Then nothin again. I have a meter so I will try that. Thanks for the help!

This is good timing for this thread. I have a 2001 warrior also. The battery in it was bad. After changing the battery I still couldn't get it to start. Like yours turn over, but not start. I have a new plug for it, but haven't gotten to work on it yet. The weather is holding me up, it has been single digits temp wise, way to cold to be doing any wrenching. I will fallow post for solutions and will post any progress I make. I am on vacation this week and will get into the garage soon.

more than likely it turns out to be the stator or pick up coil ... you can purchase the pick up coil separately from the stator, or the pick up coil is included with a new stator. it can be a gamble but sometimes works out saving money with just the pick up coil ...

if you take the side cover off where the stator is, (left side of bike sitting on it), you might be able to move the pick up coil closer to the staor and be able to clean the stator of oils where it is in contact with the pick up coil.

I had the same problem with the cold weather. I had taken cover off and cleaned it, tried pushing it to jump it again and it stayed running this time, rode it around for a bit shut it down then started it again off jump pack and it has worked since. I'm going to buy a new battery tomorrow. Maybe it was a loose wire or something but I'm gonna replace stator any way. I will let know how that works, thanks everyone for the help.

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

      Hi all,
Looking for some help on a starter/bendix issue. Can Am outlander 450 2017. While cranking to start, the starter spins and engages into the ring gear. After a few seconds the bendix retracts while still spinning and there is no damaged teeth on the drive pulley.

My 1992 TRX00 recently stopped firing.  I understand this is a common problem. I have ordered an aftermarket CDI unit.    TJ

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?

The battery on my Big Bear drops completely down in the battery compartment nothing sticks up to grip too, plus there is only 1/8" clearance along the sides, no way to get a grip on it to pull up out of battery compartment. I thought about putting a piece nylon strap under the battery and leaving enough up each side to give me something to pull it up out ff the battery compartment or using a big zip tie around the battery.
Any others have any ideas or have had this issue.
