I have a 1987 YFM350 Warrior with no spark. I am trying to test the magneto/stator and it is giving me 1.0-1.1 ohms coming out to the cdi lead. Do I need to replace it?

I was riding the other day. Got stuck in a mud hole. Now it won't move when shifted into gears. It will move slow in reverse, very slow. Any thoughts to this problem. Runs good just won't go when put into gear.

Hello all I'm new to the site. I'm asking for suggestions on building my 1999 warrior. I picked it up for a song at $200. nothing wrong with it other than it needs tires and a tune up. I have about $800. To put into it, other than tires and an exhaust any suggestions. This is my first sport quad I'm used to utility quads. Thanks for the suggestions

hey I'm dave westfall I'm new I just became an official member of this site a few minutes ago. Ive been crazy about quads and bikes since I was about 3 and ive always done my home work on them figuratively speaking. I would say for comparison to the common man that I am pretty knowledgeable about them. its been my passion about most of my life. I love talking about quads and bikes so if anyone out there would like to talk with me about mechanical subjects or about person experiences while riding or just shoot the breeze please feel free to chat with me. I'm looking forward to it.

I have a 99 warrior that won't run off of choke. I've taken the carb off twice and cleaned it. Second time it sat in chem dip for an hour. Still won't run off of choke. I checked the intake manifold it ok and the ground on the reverse its ok also. I drained the fuel and put fresh in. If I run half throttle and push in the choke it will stay running. It backfires through the carb a little. I took off air cleaner thinking it might be clogged but it not. I have moved the fuel mix screw all over and still got nothing. I checked the gap on the new spark plug it was at .026. Gap is ok the plug was black like too much fuel but when I back it off I still can't run off of choke. Very frustrated please help

Bought a 95 yahama warrior 350 running but needed a carb rebuild. I did that and started it right up and let it run for 20 min then it died and would not start back up. Replaced the stator, pick up coil, ignition coil. Has a blue spark and is getting fuel. It just cranks over and over but still nothing. Any help would be very appreciated. thanks

Help! Working on a warrior that was given to us because the previous owner gave up on it. Have replaced or verified every part of the electrical system (stator, pickup coil, relays, switches, etc.) and still no spark. Have searched several sites like this one and tried everything we could find. Bike cranks but no spark. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey all, My Dad's birthday is coming up fast, and I've been wanting to fix his Warrior for him. While he was at SEMA I've gotten almost all of the work done, and now I've hit the last item to fix: the carb. I am so close to having this thing running, but now that I need to take the float bowl off, it won't come. The screws are almost all threaded, I've WD-40'd the sh** out of it... It seems like someone had once thread-locked them in. If anyone has any tips to try, that'd be great... but my bigger question is where can I find a new carb for it online? I don't mind buying a new one, it'd probably make him happier, but If I could get this thing running before his birthday it'd be great. Thanks in advance :cheers2c:

I have a 01 yamaha warrior. I took it off the truck to go riding for a bit the other day but I ran into a problem. It started right up in neutral but as soon as I let go of the clutch it seems like it is in 1st gear. It was to go as if it's in gear. Once I shift it to 1st though, it locks up after moving a few feet. I'm stumped guys. Help me out please

I have a problem I have been trying to fix for over a week now and I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a 99 warrior that i replaced the clutch in and now when I am idling in neutral and go to put it in gear the gear leaver moves but it won' go in to gear until I slowly let the clutch out, then it will suck it into gear. The real crazy part is that this problem doesn't always happen, it happens 5 out 10 times that I try. When I am riding it shifts fine I only have this problem when I am idling. I have tried to adjust the cable but it doesn't make a difference. I would be great full if someone could help me out. Thanks Monstertails

my 87 warrior 350 wont start most of the time. it cranks just fine, has a new battery. its getting fuel, and when I have the air tubing off I can see the first jet (by throttle plate) squirting fuel. it doesn't seem to get a spark or the one it has is very weak when using my spark tester. I tried a new ignition coil, wire and cap and no difference. tried cleaning the carburetor (wasn't dirty) and no difference. it will randomly start sometimes and runs great when it does. and will start again a few times right after running. but once it sits for about 20 minutes it wont start again. ive been beating my head over this one and last resort is pay someone else to fix it. I have a feeling it may be the cdi unit or maybe something to do with the stator or pickup coil but don't know how to troubleshoot em and don't know anyone with the same bike to try their parts. any help is appreciated

I have a warrior that isn't getting any spark, starter turns over fine tho. Tried using a jump kit because the battery was junk and nothing, if it pull behind my truck I can get it to fire and run for a few min then it dies. It seems to run fine for those few minutes. I put a new spark plug in it and still nothing, can't see any wires that are bad. I tested the orange wire going to coil and no voltage to that. Fuse under seat is good Could it be the stator? Or CID box? Don't know how to test them and don't want to spend a ton of $ if I don't have to.

I was just given a 1996 wolverine for Christmas from my father in law, needs a new carb. The cheapest that I can find a new one is $500, looks like it's an oddball carb. Is it possible to use a warrior carb which is a lot less expensive and more available? I found an aftermarket wolverine carb for like $170, anyone had any luck with these? Thanks!

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting to any forum, so I appreciate the help. I just got a warrior 350, and the starter is shot, but I wanted to ride so I tried pop starting it. Yesterday it pop started, and now today it catches when I pop it into second gear and give it full throttle. But as soon as I pull in the clutch or let off the gas it dies. Any ideas? Thanks, Jared

I purchased a used 2001 Yamaha Warrior, and the owner stated all it needed was a starter (friend of a friend type deal). I installed the starter and it turns over, however, during starting there is a loud knocking sound. The sound goes away after it starts. I removed the side cover to review the gears, and they all appear okay, with no missing teeth on the gears, and nothing visably loose. Any ideas? Appreciate any help.
