My first sign of trouble!

I got time to ride the ltz400 I just got. I pulled in the clutch lever to stop made the stop but the quad still pulls. There is no slipping when I let out the clutch it grabs and goes shifted easy till I pulled in the garage to park it at idle it didn't want stop moving or change into natural till the motor was turned off. I hope it just needs adjusted or nothing more then a clutch kit. ? Anybody used Tusk clutch kits? I seen Barnett for around 130.00 for the plates.

I`m not familiar with your machine, but I would go for an adjustment first. Do you have a manual for it?

Thanks for the reply. I did try to adjust it and it seem to be working and started acting up again. I just happened to be setting on the quad and I pulled the clutch in and seen the cable was only attached by 1 to 2 pieces of cable wire. I got it home I don't think it would stay together for too many more pulls of the clutch lever. I order a Motion Pro cable for it. I hope that's all it needs.

Good observation. Possible more broken strands in the cable shroud preventing the cable from moving full travel.

Got my new clutch cable today and after the install I went for a long test ride and it works great. Problem fixed.

I cant ride it like I stole it! I think I may have a hernia and going over the bumps hurts pretty bad. So I go to the Dr. Monday to see whats going on. Ill get me fixed and then see what this quad can do!

Maybe you need a new clutch cable too

I wish that would be my fix. Cheaper than a doctor and I guess its a part of getting older. I need a complete rebuild kit.
