1990 Suzuki LT-F250 2x4 Quadrunner Cutting Out

90 LT-F250 2x4 Quadrunner. I bought it about 1 year ago. Dont know how many hours on it. It ran great for about 18 miles. Then it started to cut out. What I mean is it will run for a few seconds, then like you turned off the key for a few seconds, then start this cycle all over again. It starts easy and will idle and rev up in neutral. This seams to start when you put it in gear an under load.

I have cleaned and put a kit in carb. Put on a new rectifier and coil. Changed spark plug.

I am at a loss as to what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.

      Looking for Quadrunner Flywheel Starter Clutch Gear race diameter

      Hi all, 

      I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

      I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
      What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
      Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?

      Hello all!
      I was given a 2000 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 (Quad 500 Runner?) and its current state is a bit of a mystery!  
      Kept indoors but hasn't been run in 5 years.  We're not trying the engine until the gas is replaced, and the tires are reinflated. But the previous owner said their only issue was stalling when shifting to reverse without giving some throttle.
      I'm optimistic!  See y'all around!
