  1. Would I gain horsepower and have enough backpressure if I eliminated my muffler and ran only a straight pipe from my header?
  2. Thank all you guys for the responses, i will check all these areas and let you know how it turns out. In the meantime keep all the ideas coming.
  3. It is a roketa 110cc utility. I tried starting it with the battery from my quad and got nothing, so I don't think it's the battery. Its battery says full charge on the tester. CDI box, maybe?
  4. Hi Guys, I bought my son one of those chinese ATV's. Ran really good. Ran into a problem. He was riding it in the snow and when he went to put it away for the night, I went to hook it to the battery tender which screws right into the quad near the battery. It was full of snow and ice from riding. I made the stupid mistake of sticking a screwdriver in to remove the ice, touched the screwdriver to 2 of the 3 prongs at the same time and it made a huge spark and ever since the quad will do nothing at all when i hit the electric start. Battery connections look good and I can't find any fried wires. The brake light won't even come on when i pull the levers. What the hell did I do?
  5. Your trailer would be fine and I don't think you would get lost, but a gps is never a bad idea.
  6. Yeah. There is plenty of room to park right at the base of the trails.
  7. Hi Roody, I'm green08bigbear from that other site. The place is great for quads. You will need a lot of time there to find all the trails. There's everything you want for riding your quad. Tight trails, technical stuff, creeks, rivers. There's even an old coal breaker area that is great for jumping and climbing steep coal hills. And Outlander, it's off of a side road and once your on the trails you can get pretty far away from the road. Its hard to see all the trails on google maps but there all around those reservoirs and swamps.
  8. No, there are the Duryea Swamps, Campbell's Ledge Reservoir and Falling Springs Reservoir. And the Susquehanna River.
  9. No problem. Mapquest will get you close, but you will need specific directions as to how to get on the trails and I can tell you basically how to get around on them. It's really not hard to get there off Interstate 81. Just e-mail me at [email protected] or I will periodically check this thread to see when you need directions. Maybe I can even get out on my quad and show you around. What kind of terrain do you like to drive on with the jeep?
  10. If you look in my gallery, you could see where I got stuck in some quicksand near one of the reservoirs.
  11. The great thing is that it is free. It is not a park specifically designed for atv and 4x4 riding. It is just a rural area where people have been 4x4ing with their vehicles from what I understand for around 20-25years. Nobody ever bothers you. If you meet someone they will be friendly and probably offer you a beer. Its near small towns where most of the off duty police do the same. The trails are all over, you just have to explore and explore to find them. There are mountaintops with amazing views looking over the Wyoming Valley and Susquehanna River, creeks to cross and a 150 ft. waterfall (really hard to find, I don't even know if I could explain how to find it). Like I said, I've been riding there for years and haven't found all the trails yet. I've met the owner of the land in the forests up there a few times and all he asks is that no one litters or gets hurt. You're good to need a good 6-8 hours to spare cuz you will need the time to explore and find some really cool areas.
  12. The town is Duryea, Pa 18642. You can see some of the trails on Google Maps. Just type Falling springs Reservoir in the "search maps" box. Zoom in and zoom out and check out all the areas surrounding that reservoir. Google Maps
  13. Hi, I live in Northeastern Pa. The area I ride my atv is shared with jeeps and all kinds of 4x4 vehicles. It's called Campbell's Ledge. There is probably around 100-120 miles of trails to explore with some really challenging terrain. It's five minutes from my house and I ride there all the time and I'm sure I haven't found all the trails yet. There are some really breath taking views from the tops of 3 mountains and excellent bass fishing in a swamp area and two huge reservoirs. I'm 45 minutes south of Binghamton, NY, and around 1 hr from the eastern NJ border. Not hard to get to. If you'd like to hear more about it let me know.
  14. Fixed them guys. I was bleeding them both at the same time which obviously doesn't work. Bled them separately and we're good to go. Thanks.
  15. My brother has an 03 Yamaha Wolverine. We changed his brake pads and now cant get the fronts to work. Back work fine. The fronts aren't getting any pressure. They worked fine before we changed the pads. Checked the lines for leaks, bled them. Everything seems fine except we have a limp lever. Anybody have an idea what could be wrong? Thanks.
  16. Went riding this weekend. Did a little fishing too. Check out this monster largemouth I caught!
