  1. Got any crash pics? I was hall'n down a good condition trail, turned the corner to find this wash in the trail and couldn't stop or navigate it quick enough and ended on my side. I let the bike sit like this to long so I could take pics and ended up having to take a break while it drained before it would start again.
  2. I thought it would be neat to see what the trails are like that other people ride. Lets see those pics, here are some of mine. These are just a few of the places I ride, as I get to more this summer I will post new pics.
  3. I was pretty much born on an ATV. My dad would strap on the car set and we would ride all day and as soon as I was old enough to ride and could keep up with my dad I got my own bike and I have been riding since.
  4. Has anybody been to St. Anthonys, Idaho to ride the Dunes? Is it worth the trip?
  5. This is just about what I would say and I am also a member at exriders.com - The one thing I get really frustrated with on any forum, the search option stinks or is none existant. This makes if very hard to find old threads on stuff your looking for, especially on big forums.
  6. I feel like I am in one of the great ATV riding areas. With in a hour and 1/2 drive in any direction I can ride desert terrain of all skill levels (racing the washes is fun), ride ridges with un-obsturcted views for miles. Mountain wooded trails from beginner to the hardest stuff I have ever ridden, sand dunes, major hill climbs, and mud. Wooded trails are my favorite ride and it's so great to just get out, have fun and leave everything else behind.
  7. Sounds like I will go get the 07'. Works good for me, I can get it sooner and I would have rather had the black plastic anyway. Thanks for your help! It's nice to know I am going to make an informed decision on this atv buy, last time I just wanted a bike and went down to the store and bought what looked good for the price. I got very lucky and ended up with a bike that work great for me until my skill got beyond the bike.
  8. I am looking to buy the Outlaw 525 IRS and my local dealer has a new 07' on hand for $1100 dollars less than an 08' would cost me. My question is, are there enough quality updates/upgrades that its worth spending more to get the 08'?
  9. My 03' Lakota sport has never been taken apart but it's leaking oil. It's on the left side of the bike and looks like maybe the gaskets are failing. It doesn't seem to leak except when I am riding, and it's not enough that I have to add more, it just makes a mess of the bike. Anyone else had this problem? Should I get it taken care of asap? It doesn't leak while parked. It doesn't leak while running. It ONLY leaks while I am riding:huh:.
  10. Does anybody know of some great experienced rider trails in SW Idaho? I ride all the places everbody knows about, but I am looking for a new awesome trail to ride.
  11. Oh yeah, ask my skid plate, rims, sprocket and rotar gaurds that!
  12. Ok, Time to chime in. To start, IRS is going to be key to my riding style and trails. Sure I could slow down and work my way through with a straight axle, but I don't wanna slow down. So we can throw the Raptor out the window and focus this thread on whether or not to get the Outlaw 525 IRS or the Honda TRX 700xx. I am currently leaning towards the Outlaw based on price, weight, and a slight ground clearance advantage not to mention the awesome graphics. Then watching videos of people ride both, it appears that it takes a bit more body english to control the TRX. The TRX has a small advantage or not depending on the trail, being a little smaller in width. The Outlaw has the advantage of a couple of years to work out the kinks in the IRS setup and bike package. Outlaw has a bigger gas tank hopefully giving a longer ride. Honda has a good reliability reputation. These are my opinions, whats your two cents.....
  13. I currently have a 03' Kawasaki Lakota Sport that I love, but it just isn't fast enough. I am looking to buy a new ATV and am trying to find the one that is going to best fit my riding style. My riding style - I love to ride trails and I tend to ride them as fast as I can go. I love to jump when there is a good spot. I love a good hill climb. I have taken my 2 wheel drive lakota on four wheel drive trails. I like to ride the toughest trails, but love to open it up and go as fast as I can on a flat road. I am tough on the bike riding as hard as I can. Some of the places I ride have a lot of big rocks, so I need something that is going to take bouncing of rocks. Any suggestions on the best bike for me?
