  1. I agree. 6k isn’t a lot for new. My only issue with used is if something brakes, it’s on me to fix. I just can’t do it anymore. You know that bro. Lol. But on another note. Which brand. I have reputations with them all.

  2. I want a new quad. I need automatic and 4wd. It needs to plow snow. Pull a grass cutter. And be able to tow 1500 pounds. Plus be sporty enough to tear it up while having fun. I have a balance of 6k.

    Ready?

    Go!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Ok. Definitely air cooled. From what I see it’s a 250 or even a 300. How did the oil look. If the piston and walls look that way then there is metal in the case and you will have to split the cases to clean it out. It’s really not a big job. I had mine out and apart in a hour

Call around to bike shops and see the cost to hone and bore. Then choose the route you want to take. Used isn’t a bad idea either. But new and oem is your best bet.

  4. By the sound of what you just said, no oil is bad. I always run a 32:1 mix when I get a 2 stroke initially.
But even if the oil tank was full doesn’t mean it works. The way to check that it works is to run the machine and pull off the oil injector to watch it drip oil. I’d check the crank bearings and wrist pin bearings since that heads off

I’d replace the cylinder. It’s cheaper to buy new than to hone.
If money is a factor then replace the piston.
Run your fingernail across the cylinder wall and feel if it’s gouged.

  5. So I got this '96 Jeep Cherokee XJ that cranks but doesn't start.  It's got around 180k on her but I keep everything in good shape.  Batt seemed strong.

I used to drive it everyday but this past year I've driven it only about twice a week.  It's been just slightly slower to start in the last couple of months, but just barely slower.  Was guessing it had something to do with aging plugs or something.

Drove it yesterday and everything was normal like always, sat overnight and today it cranked but didn't catch.

Any ideas on where to start?

Try checking your alternator and voltage. What about your fuel injectors and fuel filters. Do you have a 30 bar psi gauge?

  6. My retaining wall fell 20 feet up my driveway from the entrance. I called my insurance company and was told that there isn’t a lot they can do.

So I called the town to see who built it and the old homeowner did 4 years ago! With no contractor! And the building department passed it for inspection.

There is no geo grid, no drainage, and dirt as a backfill. I bet you I can pull the rest down by hand.

My question is who is responsible? This is not right.
