  1. well I adjusted the valves four times. I tried setting it at the low and high end of the range in the service manual and it still ticks. I wonder if there’s just something wrong with he valves themselves or something more.
  2. I would find the service manual or sometimes it’s in the electrical section of the owner manual. It would state the wattage of each output. Just keep your wattage close to spec or just under. LEDs run much brighter per watt so you’ll be fine.
  3. Thanks for this. I can definitely do that. I don’t know when it was last changed since I just picked it up but can I ask why or how that might make the ticking sound?
  4. Hi new member here from NY. I picked up a handful of ATVs this year on the smaller side of engines. Basically supporting my kids interest but it’s fun for me too. Hopefully I can get all of my questions clear enough for help.
  5. When I was a kid a bunch of older neighborhood kids used to rip up the street in front of my house to an old hotel property. They all had Honda big reds and 4 wheelers in the 80s. As I got older and moved back to the woods my son and his friends are all getting to be the same age and I couldn’t resist supporting him!
  6. Hi all, I also just picked up a 1998 Suzuki QuadRunner 250 and the rear camber is noticeably off on the left wheel. Is there a service manual or adjustment anyone can point me at for this wheel? Thanks!
  7. Hi all, new here and trying to figure out an issue with a Bayou 220 I just got. It sounds (to my novice ears) like it ticks more than other engines I’ve heard. I also hear it occasionally backfire (briefly) and the engine gets very hot (I’ve never run it enough to shut down). I’m thinking it needs a valve clearance adjustment but I’m wondering if any other experienced Bayou owners or anyone else has any ideas before I start tearing into something I don’t need to? Thanks everyone!
  8. Do you need a picture of where it connects to the foot brake or the back on the actual brake drum?
  9. Nice! You can also pick up cheap ammo boxes from Harbor Freight for a similar “hack”. They have a couple different sizes and fit my smaller kids atvs
