the kawasaki we were working on was a 2010 brute force 650 with the straight axle on it ...it was a theft recovery .. the idiot that stole it was useing it ro run and make meth .. he was chased by the local sheriff and crashed it into a concrete culvert pipe at about 40 mph ... it crushed the frame and tore off all the right front suspension .. we bought a used frame plastic and front suspension from a parts seller on ebay ... so we started with a bare frame and painted it an started put-n it together .. in 2 days it was a roller with the motor on it .. the 3rd day it was running and could drive .. on the 5th day we took it for a ride about 2 hours .... its alot of work but its fun ... god bless an you and your family have a happy holiday season...

i used a kawasaki 360 prairie 4x4 for that stuff for several years b4 i sold it 2 a friend who rides with us ... its still runs and rides great its a 2005 i used it for that for 4 1/2 years and it never broke down on me ...im only around 175 to 180 lb ... but put 2 50lb sand bags on it to push snow to help with traction... pulled a 60 inch swisher mower behind it weekly to mow ... had plunty of power to do it and pull a 500lb lawn roller around also... but im shure some one else has done things like this with other quads ...

riding any ware ... is therapy for me ...hey BB.. i know all about the cancer crap ... i lost a son to cancer in early 2006 and a few friends invited me to go on a riding trip in the mountains of tenn. and it was the best medicine i have ever had ... great trails and wonderful views ... :-)

well the holeshot xct would have to be the best i have used so far for wear ... but my fav. of all time would have to be the good ol turf tammer .. best tire i have found yet for hard pack traction.. and they come in so many sizes its hard to beat ...

its gotta be the john deere trail buck with the walk throug style seating area ...its just fugly

just had to bring this back to life ... i do alot of quad drags and the craptors that show up to race rarely even make it to the second round ... the quads that winn most of the drags are auto trans polaris 2strokes with big bores and clutch mods ... or the can-am's big bore 4x4 quads ...

thoes 100hr warning lites drive us nutz .. several of the guys we ride with have the kawasaki's and have lites come on several times a year and it really makes ya wonder if its gonna break on ya ...

thoes quads with the big car rims just look funny ...

insurance is a must .... most home owners policies wont even cover them for theft or even a fire .... get it ..its a must ....
-
lol thats a good 1 .... my winter ware is coveralls over several layers of clothes .... and in winter its jeans and t-shirt
-
yup its a blast with a 2wd quad ... i do it with my arctic cat 250 and i keep 2 sand bags on the rear rack .....
-
yup they have gone to the metric nutz an boltz ...lol.. my 500X2 is the same way ...
-
i voted yes .. but we usually only use it at places ware its required ... unless there are a real big bunch of riders at 1 of the local sand pits an it becomes a safety thing then we will use them just to help be seen ...
-
i have mine set up for dirt drag races and i also use it for trails ... it only takes about 20 to 30 min to change it from drag to trail set up ....... it runs 280 ft in 4.22 seconds

a local car wash here is owned buy a guy that rides with us so we go there and get a deal on the wash ...lol.. we use the hot water then go to the cyclone blow dryer and blow the water off b4 it freezes ... we usually spend 3 to 4 buks with the owners freebies ... and thats washing/drying 2 quads for that cost...
-
key prices are crazy ... i have been charged as much as $13.00 for a key for a quad ... i buy alot of wrecked and non running machines and some times have no key for them .. the dealers i guess hold the rites to the atv's key market and we all get the shaft when needing 1 .. the local john deere dealer gets $10.00 for them and thats any key for there brand ... i guess we just gotta love getting the shaft when going to the dealer for stuff that only they sell...

i am a member of several other sites a couple are brand speciffic sites kawasaki and polaris ... and exriders.com .. they all have good and bad .. not gonna knock any... but some load faster than others and thats about the only real thing that i would complain about ..
-
well this is another old 1 ..... hey bb can you update the wish list ?.. i would prolly have to have the arctic cat 1000 mud cat and a renegade 800

is the temp sensor bad ? had a problem like that on an injected yamaha and the temp sensor was bad and didnt give enough fuel for a cold start .... you can also check the wires for the temp system... thats the only thing i can think of on it ... ill look in some shop manuals and see if i can find any thing else...
